Nintendo is flat out killing it with the switch.

This will be an entire new experience for me since I've never played the original. Glad to see it's more than well received.

What? Link’s Awakening is 120/100 at least.

Never played the original, only Zelda Games I've played much of is Ocarina of Time 3DS and BOTW. But I'm going to pick this up.

I did play a few hours of Phantom Hourglass but I can't really remember that. I also played 4-ish hours of Majora's Mask but didn't like it.

It was a great game 20 years ago and is still nowadays! Now waiting for some more remake like...f zero pilotwings or even wii sport

The Game Boy version really needed a remake. I played it a few years ago for the first time on the Game Boy Player for Gamecube but the game really suffered by the limitations of the weak Game Boy hardware (physics + buttons). A Link to the Past is still my favourite Zelda, it's perfect in every kind of view, but Link's Awakening is not bad at all. I liked the combination of items, which was new compared to the SNES Zelda.

88 is pretty good for a remake. Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, which is one of the best remakes of all time, got 91.

That's perfectly normal; I try not to remember the DS Zelda games either. :D  (Hated the controls)

Ocarina of Time 3D holds a 94, but that's a remake of the greatest ranked game ever, and by comparison follows a more modern style of play. An 88 for LA is pretty good considering it is a remake of an older 2-D Zelda that pretty much kept everything in place.
