I just think with MK8 DX, the team feels like they're set for the Switch at the moment. Unless you were one of the 3 people owned a Wii U, MK8 Deluxe might as well be a new Mario Kart to most people, so I think Nintendo is in no rush to have a new one out yet. I feel like the team will be focusing more on both Mario Kart Tour and ARMS in the future. ARMS especially since there's still plenty of room to build on with that series, and I think a sequel is coming much sooner than some people expect.

I am one of those three people actually lul, but next year will mark 3 years since the last Mario Kart game, so it's a time for a new one regardless of the platform. I can't comment on Mario Kart Tour, heard that it's bad but haven't looked into it myself, however it's a mobile game so it shouldn't have an impact on the mainseries. As for Arms, I liked the game but don't see Nintendo prioritizing a 10+ million seller over a 2+ million one. We can only wait and see though.

I predict switch will sell around the same as 2019 and Nintendo will release fun games.

I think Breath of the Wild's sequel will be holiday 2020's big title. I also think a Sword/Shield spinoff, or a new Let's Go or any kind of Pokemon spinoff will arrive next year. Pokemon has been an annual franchise for some time now. But hey, I'd be totally fine with Bayo 3, a new Paper Mario, and Xenoblade Remake alone next year. Nintendo has a lot of IP they haven't touched yet for Switch so I can't wait to see what 2020's lineup looks like.

I think the 2 first years were towards "hardcore gamers" and now with animal crossing they target more casual gamers. So if they are serious theyu must make Wii sport 2. Yes, they can keep the wii game, no problem I think

Metroid Prime Trilogy
Pokemon Let's Go Johto
A terrible Paper Mario game.

I wouldn't say Nintendo has ever released a game that is geared toward "hardcore gamers" - it's more of a mentality that can include playing many casual games relentlessly. But what is a hardcore gamer?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

hard to predict the things i have no interest in like animal crossing, overly casual games, or 2d platformers, but i think AC New Horizons will be their big "spring" title and release right before e3. i think we'll get our biggest announcements at the game awards(minus 1 e3 announcement). I'm going to try to speak this into existence now; Ubisofts new open world ip "gods & monsters" will feature Pit as a playable character. It will be the 3rd time ubi & nintendo played nice with ip's in 4 years. no more heroes & bayonetta will release in august & september. zelda gets a big release date reveal for nov. xenoblade gets delayed into 2021. This is the 2nd time i've mentioned this and it's really just a hope, but i want eternal darkness to finally make a return... or for nintendo to stop renewing the trademark. Alternatively, i'd take a fatal frame V physical release/port. I hope we get pikmin news, but i'm not holding my breath. I think the rumors are true and THQnordic will announce darksiders 3 & biomutant to release in fall and winter respectively. Alright; hopes?- check, predictions?- check, accuracy? ummmm... yeah probably not.

Hum ... how did you come to that conclusion ? It's not like the remake was trying to reinvent the wheel. It's a 1 to 1 remake of the original with added content, change of engine and maybe a few quality of life improvements.

Random guess really. No window given, new assets, i feel like nintendo has been revealing things a little too early lately.  But yeah, mostly random guess.

That would kinda be overkill lmao. Like even if nothing else releases on the Switch that would be unnecessary. Feel like we might see another exclusive from Ubisoft and other companies. They will be coming a lot more starting next year since they were afraid to participate until it came out breaking records.
