This thread has taken a bit of a nosedive, yes. That said, it's lively in a section of the site that doesn't see as much attention, so unless it gets out of hand, I'll elect to keep it open.

Yea.. not paying much attention to the bickering between PC and consoles myself.. I consider myself a gamer first.. now with a gaming PC and the Vive.. just something else to play alongside my PS4 and psvr.

As long as it's fun.. I don't even pay attention much to graphics or frames.. the whole point of the gaming PC was just so I could play other games that was stuttering through my laptop.. thus the build.

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

For me PC is just about the massive catalogue of old games as well as the new stuff. For instance I cannot play bloodlines or BG or whatever on consoles.

Same here man and I didn't mean to turn this thread into a console vs pc thing. As you're into horror games and already have psvr, I'm assuming you already played RE7 on psvr. That was for me the most terrifying gaming experience I ever had and definitely a game I would love to play on a high end pc and Vive. Hunt Showdown also seems pretty good. Haven't tried it myself but that is one of the few horror games that should make good use of your 1080TI.

Why 32 GB of RAM? Pretty good build btw!

consoles will always be the more popular mainstream revenue for publishers its always been like that. whats interessting is next gen console are likely to push 60fpf at 4k with excellent detail levels. the visuals are gonna be out of this world. im on pc at the moment but when ps5 hits il swap back to consoles

@Cerebralbore101

Was wanting to future proof myself.  Plus Newegg had a good deal for the 32gb kit at the time.

IMO 16 GB is pretty future proofed. By the time 32 GB becomes standard 3200 MHZ might be a super slow speed. What was the deal? Also what game did you intend to use all 32 GB for?

32gb is also good for video editing as well, so there's that little bonus to consider.

I'll be upgrading to 32 either this year or next, because I want to get back into video editing myself, as well as drawing once more.

Why would you swap back to the console, when you've already got a good PC?.

All I'm going to be doing, is upgrading to a new build within 2-3yrs time, rather than shelling out for another console, that's not likely to surpass upcoming (as well as current) hw.

Also, as a sidenote, PC has generated quite a lot for publishers over the years. Most devs want to design games on and for PC as well, so it's not like PC is still stuck in the 90's, where it's consoles first, PC wayyy later.
