So if I'm understanding this right, you can only play this on the regular Switch, even though the audience for it (being generous and assuming there even is one lol) are more likely to get a Switch Lite. Weird but alright, it looks better than 1-2 Switch and Labo atleast.

Nintendo has been very careful about marketing the Switch Lite as an additional option, rather than a replacement for the main system. The regular Switch isn't going anywhere, and demand for both models is very strong. It's like the 2DS and New 3DS co-existing for most of the 3DS' life.

New trailer, thankfully now minus the creepy presenters.

I feel like this should've been the actual reveal trailer.

Also, some previews are out:

This is currently #1 on Amazon in Japan.

Could this be the breakout hit of the year? In Japan, at least.

Not surprised; Nintendo's Japanese marketing for it is on point

After watching this review, I'm sold! It looks like a product aimed directly at me. It's about time I replaced the old Wii Fit U (which is all I've been using the Wii U for most of its existence). I wasn't sure if it was going to be better than Wii Fit, it initially looked a bit like the sequel to Rhythm Boxing, but it's a very robust piece of software with a lot of value according to this review.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

It's out now!

I'm standing by to hear some testimony as to whether or not this actually helps people shed some pounds, or is it tamer like Wii Fit. Was thinking of buying an excersice bike but hell might as well have some fun while losing weight and get this instead, for a good deal cheaper too! XD

You can lose weight with anything. You could do standing jumping jacks in a room for 30 minutes a day watching TV and that would lose weight for you. Anything that basically gets your heart rate up past 120 and keeps it there for past 10 minutes is going to burn calories.

The question really boils down to whether or not it's something you will commit to and do 4-7x a week or it's something you'll stop doing after 2 months.

It definitely can help you lose weight; as Soundwave says, basically any sustained cardio exercise will make you lost weight if you keep it up. (And don't sabotage yourself by eating badly) But like all weight loss, the key is commitment from the individual. If you're willing to put the physical effort in, you will get results. :)
