To each his own, the 2-2-2 lock has me enjoying the game even more! I really really REALLY hated playing in teams with 4 DPS who won't switch.

Yeah great fun alright when a game is starting off and 3 of the team are screaming at the others for not "DO GOAT, DO GOAT, GOAT TEAM, GO GOAT, MERCY?!!?!?!?! GO LUCIO FOR GOAT/?!!!!1 BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GOAT OR WE LOSE, I'M NOT PLAYING A NON GOAT GAME"

I might actually check back in with OW when the game has some balance on teams.... and some balance on tilted players who quit @The character selection point of a game.

My issue comes from the fact I can't switch per round and especially per map, I don't know what map we are on. I am good on Orisa on the russian map on defence but suck on tank on attack, but I'm stuck as a tank. I'm dead weight as a tank on Nepal, I don't know we are on Nepal until it loads. My games never had goat, it's a pro/high level issue and they did this for pro, that issue didn't exist for me (plat to gold) and all the 2-2-2 thing as done is restrict what you can do, switch on the fly to better suit the needs of the team, what they originally intended for the game. Why it's in Quick play is beyond me, so much for 'quick', I don't give a crap about 6 Dps in quickplay it's there for fun, not to be 'competitive'.

The best thing they can add is if they allow those in a group to swap their roles mid game as long as you stick to the 2-2-2 thing so at least when I play with my mate we can switch when one is better suited for a job than the other. All I think it wil do is encourage one-tricks.

Oh wow I didn't know it was going into quick play as well that is kinda daft, although I know a few people who only play quick play because they don't like the"stress" of ranked but this would allow them play ow the way it was meant to be played.

The worst thing about these measures is they exist because it's a proven fact now that the best team setup is that shit with just tanks and healers which means that rather than being able to actually combat that setup they've gone heavy handed to try and pretend that isn't the case, to force teams to bring 2 DPS in an attempt to make the game more exciting to watch because watching two goats fight is far more fun irl than in overwatch.

30 fps is a joke in this type of game, Witcher 3 is beautiful open world RPG and it's also 30 fps? How? Lazy port that's how!

Buy Witcher 3 on October 15th, not this.

Tempted to pick this up tbh
Really enjoyed it on PC despite being ass with kb+m
But with gyro I might actually be quite good, I mean I do have 2500+ hours in Splatoon 2 and ranked inside the top 2500 players last month

Poor port job if it's only going to be 30fps. Overwatch is very well optimized game and runs well on low-spec PC's, they should easily be able to get it running at 60fps. But they're targeting 30fps and not even 1080p at that.

Predictions (Made July 2019)

LTD: PS4 - 130m, Switch - 110m, XBO - 52m       2019 : PS4 - 15m, Switch - 18.8m, XBO - 4.8m        2020: Switch - 22m (Peak Year)

Yeah I mean Paladins released a while back on Switch an runs at 60fps. Overwatch has no excuse. I mean the Witcher 3 is a far more difficult port and it runs at the same frame rate as the PS4 and XB1 versions of the game. There are some really low spec PCs that can hit 60fps with Overwatch. Seems like substandard port. No cross play either. What is even the point?

Popularity of the game has taken a fairly large downturn on the PC and I'm guessing blizzard are trying to turn that around but really a port like this if the 30fps makes it to retail isn't going to win over a huge load of new fans, if people want a 30fps popular shooter on the Switch you got Fortnite, if you want a good overwatch style game running at 60 you have paladins on there.

I don't believe that. I've read and heard it before enough on OW reddit and boards as an excuse, it's just Blizzard removing GOATS from pro scene but considering they started off as you could pick as many of the same champ as you wanted, had 4 classes not 3 and could swap on the fly to adapt to the enemy comp, all of this has been removed. It's intended to be a team game, not fixed in a certain way else we've have 12 tanks, 12 dps and 12 support, if 5 DPS of differing styles and 1 support works, if 4 tanks and 1 DPS and 1 support works, they should allow it. That is how it was originally and esports has changed it.

A CoD creator a few weeks back said that esports has ruined balancing in gaming. I'm inclined to agree.

Hmm, pie.

Nazih Fares, Blizzard's Communications Manager for the IMEA region, says the game will be a "locked 30fps" with "no dynamic resolution".

will have to see how it plays I guess, watching the digital foundry on this though it does look to have a higher level of graphics (slightly) than paladins because obviously they have to draw half the amount of frames but still... maybe we can hope for an option like Rocket League has? Just a performance / Quality option where the performance one drops some shadows of cars and resolution to lock it to (or close to) 60fps where the other version looks nice but plays closer to 30fps.

I would much rather play this at a lower res or graphic quality than at 30fps, just for me personally, although that said, I don't think I could play Overwatch on the Switch, just too used to that game on PC, still though it's around a month away still, just hope they hear the message that people would at least like the option of 60fps with lower graphic settings.

Performance and quality modes would be nice, and I suppose it's not impossible they might add this if enough people request it. Making the resolution dynamic like Paladins should get it most of the way there.
