Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Overwatch announced for Switch! Launching October 15!

Paladins got to me first. Will still check this out though.

I'm not sure I could go for Overwatch on a controller after playing so much of it on Keyboard and mouse on my PC over the years but also... when it comes to this type of game on the Switch I kinda fallen in love with Paladins and genuinely think between the two games that Paladins isn't just a clone of OW but it's better in a lot of ways.

Like..... a lot of ways.

Trailer was nice looking though, and as long as the file size / performance and price are in the right place, I could see me getting this, if you can bring over your progress from the PC version via battle net login I'll be far more likely to buy it just for bringing all the skins from my PC version over, not sure I could restart that collection again, not much fun not having my skin of mercy which supported cancer research.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I am all for it. And it might just convince me to buy a Switch, even though I want a better hardware revision.

Wonder if it will be Crossplay with Xbox?

Paladins is fully crossplay with that system and because KB/M hasn't been introduced on Switch yet you can pick if you want cross play with all controls or just cross play with controller users.

Would imagine the port of OW will look to paladins to copy some of the features which have been available in what will be its number one rival on the platform.

I generally play Overwatch on PC, have done since launch... And supplement it with the occasional game on Xbox.
Paladins just never interested me to the same degree that Overwatch has... Don't know why.

Visually I would like to see how Overwatch holds up, that game does scale downwards extremely well, I mean... I can run the game on a 10+ year old PC easily enough... Would save me taking my Ryzen notebook with me when I travel to game.

Really should have come over back when Rocket League and Paladins did.

Better late than never I suppose.

Not my cup of tea personally, not into multiplayer games.

I wonder if it will feature Switch linked play without connecting online.

Looks like the gravy train is slowing down enough to necessitate a Switch port.

If only this was a thing two years ago, then I would be genuinely excited... :/

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
