Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct Announced September 4th 2019 @3pm PT/6pm ET

Let's see if this direct can live up. I honestly think the E3 Direct and the February Direct were the best ones we've seen thus far. My expectations for this are a lot lower since they have so many games releasing in the next few months, and most of them have gotten extensive coverage (Link's Awakening, Dragon Quest 11 S, Daemon X Machina, Luigi's Mansion 3, etc).

I'm kind of surprised no one is predicting a Paper Mario announcement. Intelligent Systems played a very small part in Three Houses - I don't think they even wrote the game. And considering all the Paper Mario talk, now would be a perfect time for an announcement.

I could also see Monolith's new IP being shown.

What Paper Mario talk? That series may as well be dead, they've said they weren't going to give us another game like the first two.

If they make another one like SS/CS they might as well not make any.

I rather enjoyed Color Splash, I don't get the hate.

Paper Mario talk from fans, I mean.

Don't get me wrong I don't think that Nintendo necessarily schedules announcements based on fan demand, but considering Intelligent Systems hasn't really done anything yet, it's likely they're already working on it. It's just an either now or later (Jan/Feb Direct) choice really.

I want to see more from No more heroes 3

Since we already know Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokemon Sword/Shield will be shown off, I'll stick to what I think we'll see.
Predictions:
Guaranteed:
- Smash DLC Info: Banjo and Kazooie release date + 4th Character reveal.
- Link's Awakening
- Dragon Quest XI S
- Daemon X Machina

Likely:
- Nintendo Switch Lite focus
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons trailer
- Indie showcase
- 3rd Party showcase

Wishful/Unlikely:
- Bayonetta 3 reveal
- New 3D Mario game.
- Breath of the Wild sequel info.

Nice. Now please tell me Megaman Zero Collection will have a retail release in Europe, and we'll be golden (and not just the 1% on the disc, the rest downloadable crap).

It wont, but hopefully everything is on the cart so we can import it easily.

Honestly, if I see Monolith Soft logo during the Direct, I'll probably lose my shit instantly !

Monolith: You thought we wouldn’t deliver Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in time ???? Here’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for Dec 10th ! MWAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I would lose my mind. In my opinion 2 was better than 1 and 1 was better than X. I absolutely was blown away by 2.

True, and since Advance Wars is dead, what else would they be making. A new IP? I doubt many remember their last one haha. That's no reason not to try again, but it's inevitable that there will be a Paper Mario on Switch.
