Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct Announced September 4th 2019 @3pm PT/6pm ET

Some good announcements.

- SNES games are nice, but to be honest they are not much fresher than NES titles. They've been getting rereleased since the Wii days. But I'm not going to complain, it's nice to have A Link to the Past and some other games on the Switch.

- Assassin's Creed 4 is the only game in the series since 2 that looked interesting to me... maybe I'll get it.

- Xenoblade is on my watch-list. I still remember wanting to buy the game in early 2012 but decided to go with Skyrim. Definitely interested!

Early 2020 lineup is looking decent with Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Animal Crossing and hopefully Xenoblade. 2019 is packed! Dragonquest XI, Luigi's Mansion and (probably) Zelda are on my buy list. That's enough to keep me happy. Not really looking forward to Pokémon, though. I don't know, the games just look a bit stale to me. They could've made the franchise so much bigger but they played it safe.

Just wish they'd ported Kotor 1/2 instead of Jedi Outcast, that would have been awesome.

True. KotOR is always even better. Jedi Outcast is awesome as well though, I’ll take it. Apparently, IGN says so anyway, Jedi Academy is also coming at a later date (and both to PS4 as well), so that’s good.

I played Jedi Academy when I was young, I also tried Outcast but after playing Academy I found it a bit clunky. Good to hear Academy is coming too.

I suppose the 20 games has something for everyone, but for me it’s just Breath of Fire and Super Ghouls and Ghosts. The others I just played on Classic Mini or am not interested in. Similar with Xenoblade Chronicles HD, I have bought it 3 times (just this decade) and feel kind of done with the game for the foreseeable future. But I am hungry for literally any other Xeno____ title to be on the Switch.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Man, not only was there no biomutant announcement from thq nordic, the direct didnt even show darksiders 2 deathinitive ed which was announced a few weeks ago. I lose :(

SNES games is enough to keep my subscription up.

Doom 64 is the most underrated version of Doom. The 3rd party support was Dope and I am embarrassed no one is jazzed about it.

Check the link below. (note to Admins: it's not really porn please don't ban me!)

Little Town Hero looks like an old Gamecube concept that they dug up.

SNES games is good. Now second issue; do we have to sit through the Nintendo drip?

Came through dripping, drip, drip

I sort of liked how random this Direct was in terms of announcements, it felt different from past ones lmao. Like usually there are surprises in each Direct but this one just went all over the place

Star Wars Jedi Knight 2? Sure why not. Who was expecting this old Star Wars game to not only be ported but given a spotlight in a direct
Capcom porting each DMC game individually and not the collection they made before? Well it's Capcom so I suppose this isn't much of a surprise. :P
Deadly Premonition 2? Never played the first but I saw some people freaking out about this so I guess it's a big deal lmao

then it still had some other big announcements like Overwatch, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Little Town Hero, SNES game online, etc and the fuckton of shadow drops they had. this had to have been the most in a single time lmao. should have just labeled the direct "Everything is September" edition

overall a good direct. i'm glad they didn't go much into 2020 releases outside of Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, and Animal Crossing since there's so much releasing in just the next few months and they did say it would be focusing on 2019 titles anyway. It just means that in the next direct there can possibly be even more surprises since so much will be unknown. ;)
