Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct Announced September 4th 2019 @3pm PT/6pm ET

I enjoyed the direct. Lots of new info on upcoming games and lots of stuff to check out today on the eshop. Solid 8/10.

Sakurai is promoting the Xbox One with Banjo-Kazooie.
Now I've seen it all.

Have a dream tonight that Xenoblade 1 gets ported to the Switch please.

Holy shit, I wrote this on a different thread yesterday and a Xenoblade remake was announced.

Quick, someone check on Chuggaconroy! See if he's still alive!

Unfortunately this Direct really didn't do it for me. Most of the content was just updates on games we've already seen a lot from, no new game announcements made me excited, and while Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favourite games of all time, a remake isn't what I wanted to see as final announcement for the Direct.

SNES games coming to Switch Online is nice I guess but it's something that should've been there ages ago and for me personally it's mostly a reminder for Nintendo's terrible management of their old titles. Seriously, how did we go from the Virtual Console to this?

Nice, now I can have Nintendo sell me Xenoblade Chronicles for a third time! WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Xenoblade and Deadly Premonition, that's kinda it for the new announcements from this Direct. Very meh, but whatever

Ah, cooking. Pokemon is borrowing from Breath of the Wild, I see.

More like Final Fantasy XV in this case.

Yeah, the Direct did nothing really for me either. Only thing that looked interesting to me was Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, which is getting a release next week on the Japanese eShop.

Pokemon looks a lot better than it did a few months ago, but I'll still be getting it used.

Tokyo, SNES games, and Xenoblade were the two highlights for me.  Underwhelming overall, but at least it gave me SOMETHING to look forward to, as I have not played either of those two games yet.

I feel a lot of it had to do with badly kept secrets and just more of the same from E3.  If the new announcements were not expected, it probably would have been better for me.
