I think 10-11 million about. Pokémon Sword/Shield quietly might sell that number. It's true that on Switch there are many new users for the world of Pokémon videogames, but I believe they'll keep the same number of Pokémon X/Y and Sun/Moon.

I hope the optimists are right and Sw/Sh outsells LGPE in a single quarter and outsells D/P lifetime. Personally, I fear it'll struggle to outsell OR/AS or Yellow. The National Dex controversy has just gotten way too out of hand.

The National dex "controversial" isn't going to impact the game at all, and the game will do 13 million in a month and a half. According to NPD, it might even be the fastest selling games in the series

Source on that bit from NPD? Not that I don't believe you, just that NPD would be pretty trustworthy analysis worth getting excited about.

Standard new Gen Pokemon figures. So around 11-12 million in its release quarter, then 16-18 million lifetime.

Lets go did over 10mil. So I would say 14 - 15mil

Pocky Lover Boy!

It will sell better than Let's Go in Japan but worse worldwide.

I'll go 10 million

I recall Pokemon Let's Go did 10m or so by the end of last year.  I believe Sword/Shield has to do better than that.  My guess is 12-13m.  Lifetime it will go over 20m.

I was thinking about similar to what Smash Ultimate reached, so 12-13M

Edit: Aww, sh*t, got the wrong line and hit 11-12M in the poll
