Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bloodbourne= poor mans Ninja Gaiden and Nioh, prove me wrong.

Well, i'm apparently nearing the last boss in Bloodbourne, and to be frank, its been a major let down, slow controls/gameplay, crappy online functions, bosses that are more tedious than technical, i could go on all day.....  the setting and graphics are top notch no doubt, but lets be real here, the gameplay is tiresome and dull, its one thing having a hard boss that you can beat with skill, and its another thing beating one with a lot of long term tedious will..... Nioh and Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 destroy this shallow wannabe hack 'n' shash game. END OF...!!!!!

Bloodborne is superb. Amazing atmosphere and superb boss fights.

Ok, so good atmosphere, i acknowledged that, the bosses, i'm not so sure about........ what other qualities does it have? good music? silky smoothe gameplay? sleek? engaging shall i say normal enemies? its a plod a long bore fest, sorry.

Endurance is a skill.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Music is superb, and I personally love the boss fights. People are free not to like the game. I really enjoyed it.

Hm, it's fine to like NInja Gaiden more than Bloodborne, but I don't know how a fan of Ninja Gaiden could think Bloodborne is a shallow, wannabe, hack 'n slash game. Are you getting frustrated with a certain boss or certain area of the game and taking your anger out by making this thread, or do you just truly not like Bloodborne? How are the mechanics not good? The rally system for gaining back health is rewarding and the combat is fast-paced what with it's generally aggressive bosses. What's your thoughts of Dark Souls? If you like Ninja Gaiden and think Bloodborne is trash, then I can't help but be skeptical about how that's the case.

I've played through Bloodborne twice now, and both times were amazing. I enjoy traditional Souls games more, as they have deeper RPG mechanics, with a better gear system, an added weight system, and more weapon variety, but Bloodborne intentionally strayed away from that in the hopes of establishing itself as it's own game. It turned out to still be very similar to a Souls game, but I'm happy about that, as I can't seem to get enough of FromSoft's Soulsborne games.

Lightning fast reactions to bosses that also take time are ok, but not 20 minute fights with bosses who cheaply over reach and bore you are not skill to me, im trying my hardest to like bloodbourne, and sure, the bosses are engaging, but a boss that wears you down due to his 9000+ health bar and is lumbering oversized attacks is a massive turn off for me, and again, consider NG's and Nioh's basic enemies vs bloodbourne....... no comparison for me, i was alive when playing NG and Nioh, i'm snoozing while playing Bloodbourne.

Fast paced? when you walk, my 90 year old grandad can walk faster, and when you run or Dodge, a 73 year old Sylvester stallone has faster reactions, its not about how frustrating or not the bosses are, its about how reverse gear slow this game is.

5 hour campaign too when you know how this game works? hardly value for money.

Nobody is finishing bloodborne in 5 hours via their first play.
