Forums - Sports Discussion - The NFL Thread 2019: The Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV

Who do you believe will have a stronger defense in 2020?

Patriots 2 66.67%

Steelers 1 33.33%

Total:3

I might have to switch my pick from the 46ers to Ravens. I'm just so hesitant because I honestly cannot buy into the Ravens being a great team. Ravens had a string of amazing wins. I can't deny that. But I witnessed early in the year, a very undisciplined, under coached, semi-struggling Browns team blow them out... I just can't explain it. I don't think they are remotely close to elite. I think they are unpredictable, and I think teams will wise up and eventually figure them out. 49ers defensive strengths are 1:1 to Ravens "strengths". And strong defenses trump strong offenses.

Now that I think about it, I have to go back and flip my vote on the Colts game

I honestly welcome anyone else hosting this thread. Save me a ton of time. In fact, anyone is more than welcome to take over compiling/recording predictions for the rest of the season right now if they so desire.

And that’s two times this year the 49ers lost to a FG in the last seconds of the game.

The NFC East should just be disqualified from the NFL this season. They don't deserve a playoff berth.

I couldn't remember what I had picked for the Sunday games and the template was empty, so I am not sure if I changed anything since earlier in the week with my latest submission.

What's a thot anyway?

So it appeared as if you didn't make any picks?

First rounder on a guy who gets beaten easily on his route and then falls over, and a second on a guy who can't find the sticks on an easy 3rd down and can't hold the ball on 4th down.

Some Patriots fans/reports believe Tom is part of the problem and want to consider moving on. For the love of God please push him to another team, because this is painful to watch. Time to put the Patriots system to use on another QB.

In case anyone is interested and has 10mins to spare, a video from someone who as far as I'm aware is neutral on the topic and pretty well-informed:

Seems to be as fed up with this as I am, which gives me some comfort I guess.
I don't know what level Brady can even play at right now, or how long he may have left, but I'd at least like to see him in a semi-competent offense for what little time he may have left.

Well Baltimore has pretty much wrapped up home field in the AFC now. Its still up for grabs in the NFC.

Meanwhile in AB land... more rumours (I have to call them that since certain people want to pretend this isn't the obvious truth) are popping up that everyone other than one person in the organisation want AB back-- https://nesn.com/2019/12/nfl-rumors-patriots-players-and-coaches-want-antonio-brown-reunion/

And AB meanwhile was tweeting during the SNF game:

So far it's already cost them a chance at 16-0 and probably home field advantage (assuming they can even get to the AFC Championship with this offense), so I can't wait to see how much they care about winning another Super Bowl at this point.
Maybe once you already have 6, winning another isn't as important as trying to cover your own reputation.

that hoe over there

I picked TB which should have been GB over shitty Giants I believe. The poll had TB instead of GB. So I hope I don't get docked for poll being setup wrong
