Forums - Sports Discussion - The NFL Thread 2019: The Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV

Who do you believe will have a stronger defense in 2020?

Patriots 2 66.67%

Steelers 1 33.33%

Total:3

Off to a good start again, the Browns defense played great the offense still was mediocre. Their slim playoff hope is still alive.

Lol I don't even care about missing prediction on Brown's game. That fight was fucking crazy.  Oh and apparently Steelers suck. Will pick them to lose rest of season.

Yet again wrong on a TNF pick. It sucks to start the week with an incorrect pick more often than not.

I conclude that the whole AFC sucks.

I can only guess you aren't watching many of those division teams playing that much because yeah, it's been transparent that this division sucks. I will say that the Ravens have improved in their game ever since the Browns beat their ass. And the Steelers are absolutely lucky they won 4 straight games. I work with a Steelers fan here in Dubai and he claims that Steelers will play dirty as revenge when my Browns play them again in 2 weeks. THAT is a must watch game because people are gonna get hurt on both sides.

Don't underestimate rivalries. Yeah the browns have been terrible for the last few decades but that doesn't change the fact that this rivalry is fueled by hatred.

I kinda wanna switch my pick from Ravens to Texans... I forgot how hot the Texans are. And the Ravens are an improved team from the beginning of this year but they are still very flawed

I'm not a Ravens fan at the slightest, and I'm not one to call referees cheaters. But holy shit that challenge by the Texans was definitely a pass interference on Ravens...
NFL officials are fucking teams over, and I'm seeing it way too much this season.

Well that was not how I expected the game out of the bye week to turn out.

Our offense really needs work. I thought that we had finally started getting things together in the second half of the Baltimore game before a couple of turnovers killed the comeback attempt, but nope, back to square one. Our line still sucks, receivers still can't run routes properly, and Brady can't accurately throw a pass past fifteen yards. Most of all we kept killing ourselves with penalties and negative plays as soon as a drive looked like it had something going.

I suppose the bright side is the defense played fantastic barring the first drive of the game, and really rebounded well. I think it's reasonable to say that the Baltimore game was probably the result of being unfamiliar with a player they hadn't gone up against before, on the road against a team off its bye week. Hopefully we can keep this up and force any potential rematch to take place at Gillette.

Speaking of which, I think the worst of this gauntlet is behind us. Next three games are all against good teams, but two are at home and we should have Isaiah Wynn back starting next week...so Brady can maybe have more than two seconds to throw a pass on any given play.

Philly really needs to stop fucking guaranteeing wins over Dallas lol.

Hello everyone,,

It's shocking how much more prepared the Saints were for this NFL season than almost every other team. Making Teddy Bridgewater the highest paid backup and Michael Thomas the highest paid receiver look like acts of genius. And they still have Drew Brees to come back, who even though the media like to pretend it never happened, was rated the best QB in the top 100 coming into this season.mobdro lucky patcher kodi

On the Raiders v Packers game, I feel like we got as good a picture as we're ever gonna get on Derek Carr. Neither team's defense was really stepping up to stop anything, and the game turned into a straight-up QB duel with Rodgers looking a clear class above Carr by every metric, and he didn't even have to scramble or perform magic out of the pocket to do it. Meanwhile Carr blew several promising drives with innacurate throws or moments of stupidity.
Seems like a good guy, but just not a franchise QB in my eyes. Not unless you're gonna have a Bears level defense for several seasons.

There aren’t any dominant teams in either conference but the NFC is slightly more loaded than the AFC. Just slightly.

Packers, Vikings, Seahawks, Saints, 49ers. All good but flawed teams. Pats, Ravens, Chiefs, maybe Bills. All good but flawed teams. Houston isn’t there yet. Dallas is not consistent enough. Rams either.

AFC is certainly worse thanks to having the two shittiest teams in the NFL, Bengals and Dolphins. Also most disappointing, Browns.

The Bengals are the worst team in the NFL but the Redskins are the second worst.  As for the most disappointing team its the Falcons they should have played like they did the last two weeks the entire season and they would be 7-3 right now instead of being 3-7.

I've hardly watched more than Packers games for over a year now, so I really don't know how good most teams actually are. On that note, I'll probably be better off by not visiting NFL.com on gameday because the information I get from there is worse than the gut feeling I have when making my picks. Foles returning for the Jaguars while the Colts were still without Hilton mattered as little as the Redskins playing at home with a rookie QB that shows promise according to some writer; both of those games weren't even remotely close affairs and it turned an otherwise great week into an okayish one for my predictions.

The AFC North may be bad overall (I thought the Steelers were decent, but I guess not), but the Ravens look like the best team in the entire AFC right now. I'll probably pick the Steelers again when they play against the Browns because it's football law that the Browns disappoint as soon as someone begins to have faith in them.

The Redskins have been terrible all season they got extremely lucky by winning by one point against a very bad Dolphins team they are not going to win another game the rest of the season.  They will only be a fraction better then the Bengals since they will go 0-16 both teams are extremely bad and should have been 0-16.
