GB@KC was a great football game. The Packers owned the first quarter and went up 14-0, then the Chiefs changed things up and halftime couldn't come soon enough for the reeling Packers, because adjustments were desperately needed on both offense and defense. The third quarter belonged to the Pack again; a long drive ended with an FG to tie the game at 17, then McCoy fumbled the ball to set up the Packers for an early 4th quarter TD. One quick TD by either team brought the score to 31-24 and that was also the final score because the Packers managed to run out the clock when they got the ball with over 5 minutes left despite the Chiefs still sitting on all of their timeouts.
The Chiefs may have been without Mahomes, but Moore had one of the better games of his career with nearly 300 passing yards, 2 TDs and no INT. He got the ball out fast to avoid pressure and was supported by a solid running game, except for the already mentioned fumble. The Packers defense had a couple of blown coverages again, but the team played okay for the most part.
Rodgers completed a couple of miracle passes that will make his two almost-picks forgotten. Another 3 TD passes bring his season total to 16, so that's not too shabby halfway through the season, albeit still some way off from his best years; he had 8 TD passes in the last two games alone though, so he's certainly feeling more comfortable lately. Aaron Jones is at 11 total TDs for the season, I think. The versatile RB is a real asset for this offense.
A 7-1 record halfway through the season is amazing and additionally constitutes more wins than during the entire last season (6-9-1). Still, the 49ers and Saints seem to be the two most complete teams in the NFC, so the Packers definitely have to get better as the season goes on if they want to be Super Bowl favorites. The first objective is to win the NFC North which won't be easy because the Vikings aren't slacking off, but I'd say both the Packers and Vikings will go to the playoffs regardless of who wins the division.
The Bears suck.
