I think I might have to eventually pick this up

Is there any split screen?

Not on ps4. I bought a pro a few years back and kept the original ps4. It runs the same on both, I don't think it has any pro upgrades. (It doesn't help I have the pro connected to my old 1080p lcd and base ps4 to the new 4K HDR tv lol)

Anywho, with one digital copy and one ps+ subscription we can play together in co-op. But you do need 2 ps4s :/

I'm loving it so much again I bought the digital version so we can play together. The VR mode is great, the whole game feels fresh and new again. I played the original for 80 hours, I'm easily going to double that this time.

It changed a lot. I booted up my old save and my ship, exosuit and multi-tool were half filled with obsolete tech, new things popped up, new blueprints, missions. That platinum trophy doesn't mean much anymore lol. I continued with a new save instead and so far I've just been exploring one planet while adding to my base. I like all the changes so far, especially the much better stacking of materials and transforming materials in the refiner.

The game didn't need a comeback as it was great already, hence the 80 hours play time. This feels more like a sequel, no problem buying it again :) I still have the original disc, which can sit pretty on the shelf. One digital copy is enough to play on the primary and another ps4 in co-op. Pretty nice you can join each other's save if you need some materials that are abundant on the other's planet.

I thought it looked pretty neat, and a nice game to just chill out to when I used to watch Gribblegrunger's live streams.

It's the perfect chill out game, still is. It's even better now weed has been legalized in Canada and it has psvr support. Never been so chill before :)

Seemed like a complete dud at launch. Great to see it add a bunch of content albeit post launch. Definitely something I'll pick up when it goes on sale!

Ha! I barely smoke pot any more, but was planning on having some with NMS tonight. I smoke so little these days that I'm only halfway done my last illegally obtained oz. There's legit weed store right next to where I live now. Just opened, but have never been to it. Had to postpone moving my PS4 Pro to my new place tonight due to heavy rain, so that will have to wait till' tomorrow.

I dunno about this. I redownloaded it afew months ago and still cannot get into it. I wanted a more Star Citizen game or a MMO styled space game but the whole Minecraft in space isn't doing it for me.

Think it's on sale on steam. Might check it out

It was on sale a few days ago, I think it's back to normal price now.

I got it for 30 dollars yesterday.  Probably still half off till end of weekend.

More games should get the second review treatment. Rocket League has improved so much over the past 4 years.

I was interested in NMS at the start but pretty turned off about all the shady stuff and the apparently barren gameplay. Gonna put it on my wishlist again and buy it at a sale.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I don't care how much the game has changed over time. I don't care how good it is now. This is what happened: Hello Games lied to everyone about what the game was gonna be and how it was constructed. Not only that, but they launched the game in a very poor state, with tons of bugs, uneven performance and more. That was in 2016. Well, 2019 is 4 months away from ending and we still haven't heard a single apology from Sean Murray or Hello Games as a whole. In fact, the only declarations they released over the last months basically said that we the consumers and the press are very bad persons because we judge a game too early.

I'm sorry, but these people don't deserve a fucking penny. They are among the worst of the industry, and if it were for me, I wouldn't allow Hello Games to create another game ever again.

That being said, I'm glad that the people who payed for it at release can now get something closer to what they initially promised.

Might get it for €5-10 or once it hits Game Pass. The price for this game is pretty consistent, so it might take a while until I can play it.

And i say: If you believed the would launch in any different state than it did, then its your own goddamn fault.

Neither was surprising. Not the condition NMS launched in, nor the community reaction.

What the hell did people expect from a little indie studio. With at the time i think 15 employees. An epic space opera saga. Right.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I think i never played a more tediously boring game. And people praising HG for redeeming themselves. Oy...
