With that promotion from Nintendo with their Voucher, I think we're closer to 50% - if not even more!

According to super data:

"Fire Emblem: Three Houses has a solid launch. Fire Emblem sold 800,000 digital units on Switch in July, making it the best digital launch in franchise history."

This is just in five days since the game came out the 26th. I think it's quite a strong start

Superdata had been very off in the past, so I'm taking this with a big grain of salt. Still, it's probably relatively close to the truth, but we'll have to wait until we get news from Nintendo about the game sales, probably during the next investors meeting.

Finally some numbers! Even if they're not the most exciting of numbers. Switch software holding strong and hardware doing good considering people are probably waiting for the new model and the Lite.

Signature goes here!

I've heard it said that 3H underperformed in Japan and that Fire Emblem is becoming more of a western franchise of late. I'm sure worldwide sales of 3H have been stellar, but I'm curious why this shift would occur, and what about the game disappointed people in Japan compared to previous titles.

Yep. We're not going to have a realistic look at how FE is actually doing in Japan until the Q2 financial update. It's obvious that the high physical price and the voucher program have had a major effect on the retail sales. How much of one, we won't know until late October. Also, I don't trust Superdata's actual numbers at all, but the general conclusion - digital sales are very high - is probably right on the money.

Top 10's Nintendominated!

Even the most popular 1st party titles aren't even close to what I stated earlier. 50 % rate is just crazy even if you want to count it outside of the norm.

Before the Voucher program, I would have fully agreed.

But since with the voucher, buying it digitally is much less expensive in Japan (as in, the equivalent of 10-12 dollar cheaper on top of getting full gold coins for it in the e-Shop), it does boost digital sales by a lot.
