I have not yet finish playing the fist one, shall i finish the first one and using the same save or can i just play this games solely ?

Pillars of Eternity 2 was announced for these platforms a long time ago, but it's nice to finally get an update, and nice that it's now coming with DLC. Was supposed to launch this year originally, so to not have any release date is a annoying.
