On Bloomberg interview , Sony WorldWide Studios chairman Shawn Layden said that some of their games (first party exclusives games) will be coming to other platform and becoming multiplatform games , which  is "  Multiplayer Titles/ genre only  games "

"“We must support the PlayStation platform—that is nonnegotiable,” Layden said. “That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base.”

I'd guess PC and maybe mobile first. They could probably benefit from the Switch too, since it isn't in direct competition. Xbox would be surprising but not anything that Microsoft isn't currently doing with Minecraft. It may be hinting towards future aquisitions that are currently multiplatform.

You can just delete the platform, no need to change the title entirely

Interesting statement, I guess they have seen some success with titles on the psp and Vita so they could be interested in seeing if they could shift a few last gen ports to the Switch at some stage in the future? If they definitely don't want to get into the handheld market ever again then not selling to it is just leaving money on the table for no reason. Hard to explain that to shareholders.

They give MS a platform to sell software to Japan. That ain't nothing.

I find the tables always turn, before the Wii there was the 25m selling GC, Nintendo do the highs well and the lows really badly. Anything can happen with scarlet and ps5, don't forget like you said during the WiiU era Nintendo's hold in the gaming market looked to be all but released, now they're kings of the castle. Never gloat too hard! There's only one way to go when you're at the top.
