About 20 years late... which does, though, tell how fitting this is. I'm a bit sad because this might mean Insomniac wasn't doing too fell financially so this might have been half-forced, but at the same time, Sony is definitely the right owner for Insomniac considering the history of the two. As someone whose main platform is PC, I'm somewhat disappointed, but like I said, this is quite fitting.

How? Spider-Man was a big success and obviously Sony is interested to contract them again for a sequel. Insomniac was in a perfect position as they could've just told Sony to look for someone else to develop Spider-Man 2 if they didn't pay the price they wanted them to pay.

Does that mean Stormland is still an Oculus exclusive ?

Possibly, Sony will probably honor any current agreements.

Okay, now Sony need to work with Remedy and Platinum.
If PS5 has SSO/Alan wake 2/quantum break 2(not actually sure who owns that IP) and Scalebound - or really any dragon riding based RPG - I will laugh.

Quantum Break is completely Microsoft's IP, Alan Wake was always Remedy's IP just MS had publishing rights much like Sunset Overdrive.

Actually, Sony was Insomniac's first choice to publish Sunset, but Sony turned it down. That is why Insomniac shopped the idea around to 3rd party publishers and MS, and MS ultimately chose to greenlight it.

If I remember correctly the problem was that Sony wanted ownership of the IP and Insomniac wanted to keep it themselves and then they struck a deal with MS so they could keep the IP and MS had publishing rights.

And now Sony got what they wanted, owning it.

Would be fun if MS allowed a Playstation-release of Sunset Overdrive. I don't think it is outside the realm of possibility

I mean Ori got a Switch port revealed today, hell it shows Xbox Game Studios as the publisher in its trailer.

So Microsoft will bring Sunset Overdrive to PS4 or PS5 is very possible.

Bout time lol

This just the beginning

Ted Price is getting old anyways so might as well strike while the iron is hot ...

I see no way that this helps gamers. So, I'll just say
