Having Insomniac focused on PS5 means more traditional games (Ratchet and Spider-man at the very least) but also more VR content will be on the way. They are pretty much a more reliable Japan Studio (who are my fav btw). The benefits of owning Insomniac far outweigh them working on some games for Sony . in conclusion:, lots of games, both traditional and R to look forward to on PS5. |
VR is definitely an aspect worth highlighting. It could be the prevalent factor that lead to this union. With a company as dedicated to VR as Sony, Insomniac as a first party will probably have more access and freedom to experiment, than with limited contract work. Time will tell us more.
