Forums - Sony Discussion - No Man's Sky on PSVR Is Incredible!

Got to play it last night.  Had been waiting for this update since the game launched.

Flying out from one planet into space, then landing on another planet was seamless.

Exploring the planets was fun too - had some aggressive dinosaurs try to murder me as soon as I stepped foot on the ground.

I switched the traversal from the teleport setting to the smooth setting - but turning was a bit jarring.

Same with the pop-ins from the terrain.  I'd recommend not going over an hour - especially on your first play-through.

But overall it was such a great experience.  Felt like I was in my very own X-wing exploring the universe.

Have you gotten a chance to try it out yet? If so, what are your thoughts or some of the fun things you experienced?

Is outer space still the color of kool-aid?

I've only just bought a PSVR, picked up Astro Bots and Everybody's Golf VR. Might check this one out aswell.

I'm hoping to get to it soon. I've had some stomach discomfort going on the last few days, which makes me reluctant to put on a VR headset. I'm certainly looking forward to it though. Glad to hear it's good.

I've been playing  firewall zero hour new dlc missions for days but I'm gonna give it a rest and try no man sky VR. but I hope we can play with the dualshock4 as I find the move controls always cumbersome in this type of games.

I don't have the move controls- I use the dualshock and it works great.  Definitely switch the controls from teleport to smooth though- it's a lot better

This is good to hear, I didnt want to set up my PSVR for a mediocre experence

I'm glad to hear this, PlayStation VR has been so much fun. Astro Bot, Beat Saber, Rez Infinite and Tetris Effect are tremendous examples of VR done right.

I got No Man Sky when it originally came out and was deeply disappointed in it, but they have stuck with it and made it into an example of when developers care about making a great experience vs just trying to make something to generate money.

What do you think of the PSVR so far? I love hearing people's impressions.

Blown away, I really think it's the future. Lots of room to improve, but that's what excites me the moat. I'm definitely going to keep supporting it.
