I think Trump might be another reason as to why they are not cutting the price right now. I know I wouldn't when there's a possibility of 20% tariff being slapped on consoles sales, as that would make the console more expensive again for Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.

The next round of tariffs has been delayed until after the holiday season to not hurt those sales, but then early next year they may very well come. And if it comes, it may also just as well increase the price of the next gen by 100$ in the US.

Imagine if the price cut does come, but in the USA because of the tarriffs, prices more or less stays the same :p
Everywhere else in the world it drops.

I would like to see that. Europe and the rest of the world having better deals than in USA. ^_^

I doubt they would do that, at least not as long as they can avoid it.

Who are these crazy people still buying a Switch when they knew a better version is coming? It's not significantly better but may as well wait a few weeks for more battery life at this point.

People who dont know about it, I dont think Nintendo has done much in the way of advertising the better battery model.

Sony is like..... "god bless (europe)" :P

And nintendo Is like Japan hold my beer.

Switch's lead in Japan isn't that much bigger than it's lead in North America, and Japan accounts for less than 1/5 of total Switch sales this week.

EDIT: 29,000th post!

People who don't know about it. That's pretty clear when you look at the new model on Amazon. It was on stock 2 days ago and now you'll have to wait 2-4 weeks since it's shipment is totally sold out. Which means that all those who knew about it and wanted to buy a Switch were waiting... and some now probably still are since it's seemingly selling like hotcakes.

There's still someone here who trust VGChartz figures ? All the effort they do is very well appreciated, sure, but the numbers have nothing to do with reality.

People that dont know, theres a revision that has like 80%+ better battery life, and 5-10% performance (due to chip+new ram).
Theres no upside to buying the old version at the same price as the newer one, so it has to be their just un-informed.

The vita is 8 years old and has pretty much no more support at that stage.

You know your console is dead when an Xbox outsells you in Japan. 😂😂😂😂
