Half a Million Stolen from Alex Rodriguez's Rental Car

Forums - General Discussion - Half a Million Stolen from Alex Rodriguez's Rental Car

I just want to say...what?! You left $500,000 of merchandise in an unnattended rental car?  My local police department warns us constantly about leaving valuables in our vehicles overnight, and by valuables they mean anything over a couple hundred dollars.  I honestly don't even feel bad for them, mostly because I just can't fathom what would be worth half a mil that could fit in a car.  But whatever, I guess that's just me.

"MLB star-turned-sports broadcaster Alex Rodriguez reportedly was the victim Sunday night of a burglary, with the items taken worth $500,000, according to CNN affiliate KPIX.

Rodriguez and other members of ESPN's broadcasting crew returned from a dinner out after working the Phillies-Giants game in San Francisco when they discovered someone had broken into their rental car, the station reported."
"Jewelry, bags, a camera, camera equipment, a laptop computer and electrical equipment were stolen, the San Francisco Police Department said. Police did not identify whom the items belong to."

While caution is advised I don't want to engage in victim blaming.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
