None. I cancelled my cell phone plan 10 years ago, never looked back.
My wife uses an iPhone 6S+ and she curses at it daily.

Pixel XL

I had this phone for more than 2 years now and performance is still superb. no signs of lag and with two software iteration already (from Android Nougat at launch, now at Android Pie, with the possibility to upgrade again to Q).

It is a bit expensive at launch (I paid around $900) but I can say that it's all worth it. you are paying for Performance and Software Upgradability.

I'm planning to get the Pixel 4 as it will have Project Soli (Radar Tech from Google)

Same phone as my wife, and she also curses at it on a regular basis. Mostly when she's taking pictures due to the dated camera or when the battery gets low, which happens really fast by now.

Last time we had this thread i just had gotten a S5 mini, being toptier back then, i switched to an s7 and got another s7 after that which im still using

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Random Generic Slabphone 2018
(Xperia XZ2 Compact)

Was forced to grab one when the Vita browser finally gave up. Biggest waste of money I have ever had to spend on an electronic devices, but it became a necessity, so I had no choice. Every day I pray an Announcement will come out of Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Google, or Apple, that a decent gaming Phone is on the way, but all we get is Switch Lite, and more useless Slabphones. Every time people bring up Mobile Phones, I can't help but think how the market has been getting worse every year for nearly a decade. Each time I check back in, things have only gotten worse. Truly a sad time for anyone with an on the go lifestyle.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

How do you get by? If you're an employer or an employee, I imagine having a phone is obligatory nowadays? Curious.

What's your ideal gaming phone like? Android controllers are many and you can also connect PS4/X1 controllers to iPhones natively without friction. Been playing Hyper Light Drifter on my iPad using an X1 controller wirelessly, no workarounds needed.

I got a free smartphone about 5 years, something Samsung. Still using it. I personally hate cell phones. I prefer being unavailable versus always in touch with others.

I getcha. Wouldn't say I hate them, but I leave mine at home whenever possible. Unless I think I'll need it.

Hardcore!

My phone is getting oooollllld. It's a 2015 Sony M4 Aqua. My service provider kept calling me and sending e-mails to let me know I can upgrade to "phone-x" for free with a new contract. Quite true since I've no plans to change providers and still pay the monthly fees anyway. Just don't care though TBH. Smartphones have never been that important to me. Barely use my phone for much beyond, calls, text, and occasional web browsing/picture taking. Oh, and just to punctuate the general lack of interest I have in smartphones, my last phone before the M4 was a 2009 LG Something-Something. I just use them till they stop working.

Blu Vivo X+. Been using it for a year, now.

Never paid more than $250 for a phone and I never will. I mean, maybe with inflation it'll hit $300 as my limit later in life, but there's no reason to pay more for something people change quicker than their console. Sometimes even yearly.

Smartphones are incredibly helpful and there are times I love mine.  But I don't like today's culture where I'm expected to be on the ready for everybody.
