Pretty sure it's your PS4 or your copy. Mine works fine... they don't intend to sell games this way. It's most likely a defect.

But I have no problem with any other game and its a digital copy of the game. It for whatever reason crashes the whole PS4 at the same point every time and I tryed like 15 times.

Yikes, all I can say is redownload it. If that doesn't work...it's the PS4. The downloaded data is the same for all PS4 users. If you decide to get it on Switch, get physical.

Ive already tryed redownloading, the only thing I can think of is to try a friends PS4 and get past the scene and hope its just the only bad spot.

I got this game on Steam but just because it was so cheap and I was too impatient. I never got to finish it though, as I wanted to enjoy it on Switch. I'll double dip.

I don't intend to polemize but I can sense some inconsistencies there, mate.

In the aesthetics department, Switch version will have two huge diferenciators:

  1. You will be able to play with a 16-bit retro inspired look whenever you feel like it.
  2. You will be able to choose a fully orchestrated version of the original OST, which is in MIDI and, trust me on this one, fails to achieve the nostalgic appeal one would expect. It just gets in the way and is plainly irritating.

This honestly looks like one of the best third party games to grace the Switch. In terms of quality, I mean. Though ... also in terms of graphics !

Super excited for this, hopefully I like it ... JRPGs can be kind of shaky.

It may be a very late port, but yeah, the only other third party game on the system so far that shows anywhere near this amount of effort was Mario + Rabbids.

I really hope it pays off. A game of this magnitude and popularity flopping on Switch would be a very bad sign and could discourage others from trying. Then again, it's Dragon Quest, you'd think Japan would carry it on brand name alone.
