Square Enix will release a demo for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition, the company announced during a stage event at Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2019 in Tokyo. A release date was not announced.

Users who keep their save data from the Dragon Quest XI S demo will receive a “Skill Seed” as a bonus when they play the full game.

Additionally, users who play the demo and create save data will be able to obtain the premium hero card “The One Descended from Erdrick [S]” in the Switch version of the free-to-play card battle game Dragon Quest Rivals as a bonus.

Square Enix also revealed that the world of Dragon Quest X will appear in Dragon Quest XI S as one of the past Dragon Quest worlds players can travel to.

And the company confirmed that Erik will be able to wear his “North Leather Style” outfit from the one-shot manga starring Erik by Hiro Mashima that will debut in the August 21-due issue of V-Jump magazine. It can be obtained by redeeming a download code included as a bonus with a certain book (still to be announced).

Finally, Square Enix confirmed an enhanced “Draconian Quest” in Dragon Quest XI S. With “Super Shypox” enabled, all members of the party are inflicted with the “Shypox” spell.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is due out for Switch worldwide on September 27.

I am so pumped for this game. Since I'm not into the modern Final Fantasies like I was the previous ones, I need a really good RPG to fill the void. Dragon Quest XI S looks like the RPG to do it.

I feel cheated by dragon Quest XI, I bought it on PS4 and the game keeps crashing at a bridge just after you get the blue haired character. so im going to wait and see, if it cant run on PS4 im to scared to buy it on Switch.

They added so much content in this game ^^'. I platinumed the game so don't feel like going back but I am curious about the extra content.

Pretty sure it's your PS4 or your copy. Mine works fine... they don't intend to sell games this way. It's most likely a defect.

This honestly looks like one of the best third party games to grace the Switch. In terms of quality, I mean. Though ... also in terms of graphics !

Super excited for this, hopefully I like it ... JRPGs can be kind of shaky.

But I have no problem with any other game and its a digital copy of the game. It for whatever reason crashes the whole PS4 at the same point every time and I tryed like 15 times.
