Does anyone NOT realize Fire Emblem came out on FRIDAY the 26th- not even a QUARTER of a week sales.

Most games release on Friday. How many days are in it's first week on sale doesn't make a massive difference to FW sales as the vast majority of FW sales are day one, preorders and launch day sales. The 3DS FE games all released on Thursday.

So did Mario Maker 2. Most new titles don't get a full week on release but it's still the biggest week for most. I've never played FE but from the outside it seemed people were skeptical before the release but that the game turned out better than expected so we might see a slower drop off for the title.

Signature goes here!

Its probably the vouchers affecting sales of FE3H.
And although it appears anecdotal, apparently, some stores in the US/EU have had FE3H stock sold out and it seems that Amazon does not have stock at the moment as there are stock being sold in inflated prices.
Even if its anecdotal, I don't think we need to worry about FE3H and its potential LTD. It'll likely be the third game in the franchise to reach a million and hopefully it'll have legs to reach 3 million or more.

How about price?
This game is sort of 50% more expensive than the 3ds ones...
This could impact on sales, dont?

Prettya much everyone here already knows from past rodeos, that

a) most popular games are released towards the end of the week

b) first day sales are usually bigger than the sales of the other days combined

A game releasing on Friday has only a marginal disadvantage (maybe 5-10%) in weekly sales numbers than a game releasing on Monday.

Damn was expecting over 150k for FE. But the comments above regarding the voucher should be able to reach that goal. FE3H will be behind in Japan compared to awakening and fates. But WW should be able to beat both of them.
Good gold for the Switch.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Fire Emblem costs ¥ 6,990 and the Nintendo Voucher costs ¥ 9,990, so I'm sure it influenced a lot in digital sales.

Btw, what week will the Lite come out? Week 36?

Same week as Zelda: Link's Awakening remake, Sept. 20.

And the Pokemon Sw/Sh version of the Lite will come out on Nov. 8, a week before the games come out.

Like others are saying the sales of software and hardware are affected by digital becoming more popular, voucher program, incoming switch lite, incoming beefed up battery switch and 50% jump in price compared to the 3ds counterparts. I still expect this to surpass the 1.9m sales of awakening mostly due to its growing popularity overseas.
