Any modern PVR should use HDMI inputs, so it should work for any game console. Search Happauge PVR on google.  There are other companies as well, but that's the one I've used.  Dunno how it really compares to others, but I liked it.

Does it need a PC? to edit?

Yeah.  I'm pretty sure any such device is going to have to go through a computer.  Not sure how it'd work otherwise.
