Microsoft should put Halo on Switch

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft should put Halo on Switch

I'd love it. Especially if we can earn achievements and connect to the Halo app.

MS is going third party, so it will eventually be there. How long will that take, no one knows.

No

At least Halo 1. The more that can play that masterpiece the better.

I think it's too soon for Halo to make the leap onto a competitor's console

Are Nintendo and Xbox really competitors though? These days they seem more like colleagues; Switch doesn't really clash with Xbox as it fills quite a different market niche, hence putting MS games like Halo on Switch expands the reach of Microsoft's games without hurting their business.

Nintendo should put Zelda on Windows.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

From a monetary perspective it would make more sense for Nintendo titles to show on X1 and PS4 when considering the attach ratio and capacity of SW sale relative to HW and that the people on the 2 platforms are very open to buy 3rd party and a lot like Nintendo titles but don't want the HW.

If the Xcloud service comes to Switch, then they can play every Halo game.

I feel like MS might just opt for that before porting a huge project like MCC to Switch.

I didn't mean port the MCC with all its Xbone enhancements to Switch, as that could get tricky, I think it'd be easier to just port the PC versions of Halo 1 and 2 and the 360 versions of 3/4/Reach. That shouldn't be overly difficult.
