I was sure this was going to be a thread about how your tongue rests on the roof of your mouth.... not on the floor of it.

Think about it

1980. That was the last time I used an antenna with a TV at my parents place. I would be very curious to see what I could pick up with an antenna now. Think I would get anywhere from 1 to 3 channels.

The sad thing is, when our cable went out 5 years ago we could pick up a few analog channels (without even an antenna, just a piece of coax cable attached) and they were better quality than the digital HD channels... No pixelation! All analog channels are gone now, there's a few digital channels you can pick up but then you get the worst of both worlds. Atmospheric noise causing the signal to break up and compression artifacts, yay.

Now that's interesting. I'm tempted to see what channels I can pick up once I moved into my new place at the end of the month, but I'm not even sure my TV has a coaxial nub to connect to.

I find that kinda disturbing. Shouldn't even be commenting on it. Please, let us never speak of it again.

Even though I am 22, I still remember us using an antenna when I was little

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

I don't know it if it was normal for germany or only for my region. but everyone had cable or satelite. so something like this wasn't even possible. but I found out about it in the later years when dvb-t was introduced.

Terrestrial television in Germany was always possible since 1935
