That's in hardware revenue; no actual console sales numbers were given. Overall gaming revenue fell 10% YOY, while Xbox software and services declined by a milder 3%.

Ouch. Looks like the discless version was really not wanted, and demand for the normal SKUs has dropped considerably, as well, even at ~$230. I can see why they are starting to focus on their Xbox services.

Seems in line with what you would expect at the end of the console generation.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

This will be a tough 1.5 years for xbox hw sales. To be honest I think X1 sales will pretty much stopp completely not long after the Nextbox is out.
That said the gamepass service is extremely good value for gamers and will continue to attract people into their ecosystem. I just have to wonder how many subs (at full price, not the 1$/€ subs) they need to break even on that investment.

That's what they get for having the audacity to release their game also on PC.

Xbox hardware has tanked this year. Nearly half. Can't imagine how low it'll be early 2020.

Predictions (Made July 2019)

LTD: PS4 - 130m, Switch - 110m, XBO - 52m       2019 : PS4 - 15m, Switch - 18.8m, XBO - 4.8m        2020: Switch - 22m (Peak Year)

Well, next gen is coming soon.

Yep, especially from the lowest selling console of that generation.

MS numbers as a whole are just stupid good, and they have to be happy about the increase in services revenue and MAU.

It was already plain to see in NPD reports, which is a good indicator of XB1 sales WW.

Sony don't give revenue figures for hardware (as far as I can tell) just shipments. But in Q4 2018/2019 they shipped 2.6m consoles, compared to 2.5m in Q4 2017/2018.

So for the same quarter PlayStation was probably down anywhere from 0% to 15% depending on how much less they charged retailers and pro to standard ratio. Xbox's drop to a crawl of 42k on VGC Weekly sales doesn't seem typical just because the end of the generation is drawing near.
