Yea, but his films always have the so bad it's good thing going on. Uwe Boll is hit or miss on that, plus makes shitty video game adaptations which pisses me off to where I can't even enjoy it even if was so bad it's good.

Well, what's the real criteria here then?  B/c as far as blocking, composition, visual storytelling, how to 'direct' actors, etc. Breen has none of that going for him.  The 'it's so bad it's good' criteria (which I find a bit dubious with his first film) is something to consider for entertainment purposes; however, being notoriously bad would still net you in the 'worst' category.

But, he does entertain his audience.  Sure, not in the way he hoped to.  Plus, I'd give it to Uwe Boll just for the fact that his movies were mainly a tax scam.

Gonna go with Roland Emmerich as I consider Godzilla 1998 to be probably the worst movie I've ever seen, and it's not exactly his only bad flick either.

I think that movie would not have gotten the bad rep it has if they had not mutated a salamander and then called it Godzilla.  It's definitely not Godzilla, but I wouldn't call it the worst movie I've ever seen by any stretch.

No, it would still be a terrible movie. It's not just a bad Godzilla movie, but bad movie, period.

Rich of RLM said it best in their Half in the Bag episdode on the 2 American Godzilla films @16:37: "the 2014 movie has its issues, but what it needed to get right, it got absolutely right. This (G98) doesn't get anything right":

I wouldn't call him the worst, but Roland Emmerich has made mostly terrible films. 10,000 B.C., 2012 and Stonewall were pretty bad, too.

Without a doubt, without a doubt.  Fateful Findings is one of my favorite bad movies.  But I think it's more important to consider the technical craft of directing here too instead of just saying *X popular director* made some bad decisions.

Uwe Boll, especially since he made all those shitty video game movies as part of a scam (At the time in Germany you could make more money off a flop than a hit).

Some days I just blow up.

Uwe Boll
He directed Bloodrayne, a movie that literally gave me the urge to vomit

I am struggling to choose between the directors of Ghostbusters 2016 and The Last Jedi.

George Lucas

He didn't direct Empire and Jedi, and it shows.  I-III were just trash.  Last Jedi and Force were infinity better than I-III.  The only movie Lucas directed that was good was Hope.

George Lucas created the Fuckin Star Wars franchise...Last Jedi and Force were the worst of the Star Wars movies...Get your head out of your ass...Episode 4 is and will be the best...3 was awesome in its last 20 minutes..

Nobody said Lucas wasn't creative.  The question is about the ability to direct or did you miss that part Mr. Magoo?  And Lucas directed 1 great movie and a bunch of crap.  And no, Last Jedi and Force are absolutely not the worst Star Wars movies.  Episode I is literally trash and II is right behind it.  III is pretty ****ing awful, but is viewed as ok because it ends with a good fight scene.  Of course the fight scene is ruined by Padame literally dying of a broken heart...  lol.  I mean really?  What was his target audience?  12 year old girls?  Of course don't forget Anakin's entire downfall was because he didn't have the "high ground."....

This isn't even a discussion.  If you think Force is worse than episode I-III, than you don't even have a head nor do you have a clue.  Same is true with Last Jedi.

Metacritic:

Phantom: 51

Attack: 54

Revenge: 68

Force: 81

Last Jedi: 85

Not even close there scooter.  The only people who don't like Last Jedi are those who don't like the most powerful person in the film being a girl.  Which is sad and quite pathetic.  And to be clear I am not saying Last is amazing, I'm saying it is without a doubt better than I-III.  I literally can't fathom anybody thinking Phantom is better than Last.

He directed American Graffiti and that is damn good movie.

I'll correct my stance, George Lucas hasn't directed a good movie in 42 years. And his most recent three attempts were trash.

Revenge of the Sith is way better than you give it credit for.  The Force Awakens was a beat for beat remake of A New Hope, which is why people thought it was so good.  The Last Jedi was absolute garbage.  I wouldn't consider either one of them better than Revenge of the Sith.
