I had no idea this was even a thing. Looked it up and wow, gorgeous!

HD textures in emulators? Yeah.

My guess is, by the time BotW2 realeses, Yuzu will be so stable that shortly after realease there will be HD texture packs that improve significanlty how game looks, especially with popularity of ESRGAN AI generated higher res assets that preserve original art, just making it more detailed.

I was aware of HD texture mods, and indeed AI generated higher quality art, which I'm quite interested by, just didn't know someone had taken the trouble to do it for Muramasa.

Ah, ok.

Thankfully, there are so many fans doing this, that even if publishers don't want to do remasters, these HD texture packs combined with emulators that can run everyhtning in higher res and with AA (just for starters) are almost certain way that, given time, we actually get remasters of pretty much everything imaginable.

I'd love to see the SNES Donkey Kong Country games redone in HD with that AI upsampling. Crossing my fingers someone with way more technical chops than me goes and does it haha.

For me it will always be Commandos, and Heroes of Might & Magic II

My Etsy store

My Ebay store

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Rayman, Trine and Ori would be near the top of my list.

But for me, although not technically most impressive by a long shot, its art style is something that enchanted me the most - Machinarium

This looks amazing! Reminds of late 90's point & click adventure (Beneath a Steel Sky for example). Gonna check it out, thanks!

Wario Land: Shake It on Wii for its glorious animation.

And the remake of Toki for Switch is just beautiful looking:

If you're fan of P&C adventures you will probably like this one quite a bit - it oozes with charm and atmosphere.

I'm not a platformer fan anymore, but I still like 2.5D and isometric classic RPG, and some funny 2D adventures and action games, so:

Planescape: Torment  (with patches for higher res screens, I used the 1280x800 one on my old laptop)

Gobliiins

Super Cane Magic Zero

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

Counting 2.5 Games too, i would say Klonoa, old but still today a beautiful game

The is no one game for this title tbh the styles are too diverse, 2D is probably the most complete approach in gaming.
