Forums - Politics Discussion - Razer Drops Streamer for Calling Men Trash, Says It's 'Extremism'

I'm on razer's side with this one.

You will always find bad apples on the internet. She should've kept thicker skin, being an "influencer".

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

This post is poetry! It hands out to all sides, I love it.

i thought you were telling me before that you don't see any reason for differentiation to happen between men and women?

yet here you are praising it?

I don't think you understood what i wrote.

can you clarify?

I'm personally against cancel culture so I think whether a man said something hateful about all woman or a woman said hateful things about all men, there should be consequences but not like this. That said however, if cancel culture is gonna happen anyways, I'd rather it not be one-sided so it's a very confusing situation for me.

What do people not get that it is the companies right to hire and fire whoever they want to represent them. It isn't like this woman has a right to be paid by such company if they deem she isn't fit to be a spokeswoman.

Also, influencers...  lol kids these days.  How the fuck is she going to make me want to buy a product by posting on social media?  What is she going to take a pic of herself in front of a laptop and then I'm supposed to be like you know what I think I'll try that brand.  I wish someone would release a virus on twitter, facebook, and all other shit sites and just knock them off the face of the internet.

You and me both my friend.

We could even do it like this:

Lol, this site remains a cesspits when it comes to opinions.

You think Razor would have a bit of solidarity with all the additional shit a female gamers goes through when in the spotlight and give her a slap on the wrist whilst also supporting her. Comparing that to extremism is dense, as if she means it literally to all men and as if there's a president for this kind of comment translating into violence and discrimination against men. Meanwhile persistence verbal harassment does actually translate into sexual harassment for far too many women out there. This is the exact kind of thinking you adopt when you leave your brain at home and try to apply ethics without any contextual awareness.

Having issue with someones firing doesn't mean that you dont understand this. Why do people think corporations exist in a invisible bubble free of criticism or consequences of actions.

I personally think it's wrong by Razer since they seem to be overly sensitive about language use. However, if they have in their terms and conditions that you can't use language like that, they are in their right do terminate contracts. They are a private business and it is up to then to set the terms.

Her statement was moronic and incorrect though but people should be able to make moronic and incorrect statements aswell.

You mean we are not like that other gaming forum, right?

Thank god for that.People at least think here, quite contrary to that other place.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

so essentially its ok for women to call men trash, but not for men to call women trash?

"as if there's a president for this kind of comment translating into violence and discrimination against men. "

men are 4 times more likely to be the victims of violent crime than women are

disregarding that for a minute how does a man asking a woman to ride him translate into violence and discrimination against women?

can you explain for me rationally how one naturally leads into the other?
