Forums - Gaming Discussion - Any news for future Ace Attorney stuff

Just completed the first part of the Trilogy of Switch last night, and I am amazed at how much fun I am having. I knew the games were hardly overblown, but man I am having a ball.

I had thought that Capcom mentioned talk about new games: did that just turn into the Trilogy on Switch or something? Capcom's been on a roll recently so I'd hope not.

(Also could Apollo, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice get a collection release too?)

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Around the Network

Unfortunately, I think the Ace Attorney series is pretty much dead at this point; Spirit of Justice apparently only barely broken even, and Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 was a colossal bomb. There'll very likely be an HD re-release of Apollo Justice at some point, as they already remade all the artwork for the iOS/Android release, and maybe an HD remaster of Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, but unless the most recent re-release of the series sold well enough on PS4 and Xbox One to justify a fully multi-platform entry, I don't think Capcom are going to commit the time or resources necessary for an HD Ace Attorney game.

Mega Man came back did it not? It's probably not the most expensive thing to make, and if they can find the time to randomly port old things to the Switch a new title that isn't a bank breaker to make shouldn't it?

Plus I'm perfectly fine with just a Switch release.
