Really, so you used the deal for Ultimate gamepass?

Anyway I am loving the grand prix so far ^^'.

I just don't like what you get for being top 5%....It is not about skill but how much time you spend.  when I started today I saw someone with 1500 points at number 1 and that's a good 200 online races no way I reach top 5%.

I'm definitely going to get Ultimate, even if I don't use to it to its full potential for a while. My one hold up is that I just moved into a new house this past Saturday and I haven't connected any of my consoles yet. I have Gold paid up until March of next year so it's a deal that I can't pass up!

And I've given up any and all hope for being great in CTR. I'm just going to play it when I can and enjoy myself. Luckily the game is a ton of fun, even when I lose.

I was just bothering you with the ultimate game pass deal because it is limited. Today or tomorrow it ends?

Anyway every month of gold can be changed to ultimate pass for no extra cost.

So you can buy 180$ of gold 3 years and change it 3 years ultimate game pass....While three years ultimate game pass normally will cost 460$.... 3 years because you can not subscribe for more than 3 years.

Yeah, just played for about 10 hours. Saved up money to buy a character pack and all my money just vanished. Thanks Activision. Maybe fix your broken game...?

EDIT: Got my money back somehow. That was scary...

Honestly, it's not a problem; it's a rock solid 30 and in conjunction with subtle high quality motion blur, it doesn't feel choppy or sluggish at all.

it being rock solid isn't my issue. I just knew I really didn't like how mk8 felt playing with 3 or 4 player split-screen

I think this is a different situation; with MK8 your brain is used to seeing it run at 60fps so when it's 30fps it seems jarring by comparison. MK8 also has no motion blur to blend the transition between frames like CTR does, so Crash looks smoother at 30fps than MK8 in 3-4 player splitscreen.

As someone who's logged well over 100 hours in Mario Kart 8 I found CTR perfectly enjoyable at 30fps. just maybe don't jump straight from MK8 to CTR back to back. ;)

@konnichiwa

Any tips for Tiny Temple Oxide time?

I struggle to maintain USF around the second to last boost pad of the second lap, also I haven't attempted Dragon Mines but I hear horror stories about it lol.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

If I have one criticism it's that it doesn't quite have a perfectly happy middle ground like MK8's 100cc in terms of difficulty; Easy is a complete pushover, while Medium can be just a tad too harsh.

Hmm depends on what you struggle with?  I did it with coco, my mistake was that I had an issue with the first corner, I would immediatly boost three times in the first corner and barely made the jump, I changed it to wait a sec and boost twice while almost hugging the left wall.

Hard to give tips wish I could see what's going wrong:

Anyway Tael and I are Team Coco only he uploaded every time trial video:

Dragon mines is crazy because almost everyone who beat him, did it in less than a second difference with oxide.

If the spiral is to hard (it was for me) you can try with the shortcut.

I have a video of someone doing the time trial:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8OyPCaVMkQ

The only issue I have is that the first minecart always arrive a second after I took the shortcut but you learn if you stay close to the wall in the shortcut the cart will miss you, sure you lose a second but you will learn fast that the shortcut isn't that hard while the spiral you can try hundred times but never be good in it.

Okay, having played through the remaster, I think it stands as the second best Kart racer ever made after MK8.

Finally beat all of Oxide’s times!

Honestly, I wanna say Tiny Temple was harder than Dragon Mines, but only cause it took me like 2 hours to do Temple, while Mines only took me like 30 mins.

I did Penta with both, but then swapped to Tawna for Temple, and I was able to do it in 5 attempts so *shrug*

To anyone trying to beat the Oxide times, just remember that the brakes are your friend for Dragon Mines.

The grand prix so far is going well, still at the 0.5% leaderboard. But I wish their were wumpa tier unlocks. But they gave a ton of new skins but if I did the math right I still need 250.000 wumpa coins and 350 races with a particular drive to unlock all the character skins ^^' but I am enjoying it :).

I also have a good community going on, so it possible I play the next six months basically only CTR. Also watching Tael stream makes me just want to play ctr more ^^'

Now in the top 0.05% range. The top must be playing the game atleast 18 hours a day.
