This. Democrats are already too busy with their shifts at Starbucks, sitting in prision or being homeless junkies.

But seriously... dems are very divided as there is nobody with charisma on top of that. If democrats had another Obama, they would hate this person for being too socialist, not socialist enough or argue how progressive this person is in general.

Trump is barely a republican in my opinion and in practice he's been a moderate. He has a platform, he doesent pander to appeal to PC bullshit, he's sadly the most human politician I can point to.

Obama wasn't a socialist or progressive if anything he was close to being Bush Jr. 2.0 if you look at what he did while in office.

No, Obama's policies were left leaning. His stance on immigration, healthcare policies and just whining about America in general.

However, modern dems do not actually want another Obama per se, his record is poor among the progressives. They reluctantly attack him though on account of his blackness.

During the Obama administration Bill Clinton started to become a pariah because the party keeps moving further left. They didnt even want Hilary, they just tolerated her because the vagina thing.

Now the progressives like to attack Biden's record which is fine because he's white and still deemed a centrist even though he says all the same progressive BS as other candidates.

More people lined up for the washrooms at his rally than the number of people showing up for every democratic rally COMBINED. Democrats are just a bunch of communist clowns nowadays, nothing they stand for is American, and therefore no Americans want to waste their time listening to their crap.

And this is your typical Trump supporter.  GProgrammer just showed proof of a Sanders rally drawing between 20k and 50k. You completely ignored it and went on a hyperbole rampage.

Fascists, Socialists, and Communists, always garner the largest crowds. Why should it be any different for DT or BS right? lol

The Canadian National Anthem According To Justin Trudeau

Oh planet Earth! The home of native lands,
True social law, in all of us demand.
With cattle farts, we view sea rise,
Our North sinking slowly.
From far and snide, oh planet Earth,
Our healthcare is yours free!
Science save our land, harnessing the breeze,
Oh planet Earth, smoke weed and ferment yeast.
Oh planet Earth, ell gee bee queue and tee.

@Italicized: False, as others have pointed out.

@Bolded:

Show me where in the Democratic platform, policies, or rhetoric where they suggest nationalizing the means of production.

@The rest: You don't get to define what is and isn't American. Progressives love America, too. We just have a different idea about what makes America great, and what makes for good policy. We also don't think loving your country means refusing to criticize aspects about its history or government. There's a fine line between patriotism and blind nationalism.

And lots of Americans do listen to our "crap," as you put it. That's why the Democrats won the 2018 midterms despite gerrymandering working against us, and why Republican presidential candidates have won the national popular vote precisely once in the past 30 years. If nobody cared what we have to say, we wouldn't win elections. Republicans are the ones that are less popular, and they make most of their successes thanks to geography, a flawed electoral system, gerrymandering, and an unfortunate tendency of progressives to sit at home and stew or vote third-party if they don't like the Democratic candidate.

I'd liken neither sides as being 'rational' TBQH ...

You have one side that has a history of being pro-austerity and then you have another side that's clearly anti-growth. Both democrats and republicans are beyond nuts too busy killing each other over progressing their own stupid ideological values. Now I know why shit doesn't EVER get done in America compared to the rivaling one party state at the other side of the world when the so called "power sharing structure" (or what's left thereof it) is a flop since neither sides are actually pragmatic enough to compromise ...

Both are bad and they know it but they're too damn stubborn to admit the other side is right at least every once in a while ...

The democrats are to divided. They keep claiming that is trump that is dividing the country but they are attack each other almost on a daily basis. Once all is said and done and they pic their candidate. That candidate will loose against trump as they will split the base so much that they will not vote in the general election in spite of their own party. Some will jump ship and even vote for trump. As much as they criticise him he is a moderate.

That's the beauty of the republicans. They would never fight against each other because they will always stick to the same script no matter if it makes sense or not. Not thinking is so liberating and peaceful.

Trump is almost up there with Idiocracy stadium crowd level. He just needs to add some monster trucks and illegal immigrant deathmatches for his fanbase.  Throw in a Nascar car doing donuts and a t-shirt cannon and they'll be jizzing in their seats.

What a stupid bait thread, such a question can only really be asked once the Democratic primaries are over.

@vivster
That's why they are called traditionalists. Traditions that they don't even know the roots off. Like Easter. WTF!!??
But it bands them together and it's gone get us 4 more years off it cuz dems can't agree on anything except trump is Hitler.
