I agree that the mario IP is carrying most of the weight but the fact that it’s a (nowadays rare) third party exclusive most definitely helps also.

Nice to see Nintendo on top.

So is this physical sales only, or is digital included for some but not others?

Interesting to see that NBA did better than FIFA, despite being a download required title.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

No Doom, kind of disappointing. Also surprised at the lack of skyrim, VGC likely over tracked it. But I guess the digital sales might be making the difference.

Don't quote me on this, but I heard some talk that NPD doesn't have Bethesda digital totals, sort of like they don't have Nintendo's digital totals. Not a hundred percent sure on that, but that might affect their numbers.

Doesn't NBA always do better than FIFA in the US?

While I agree that 3rd party releases won't just instantly dry up because of the new consoles, how does this list prove it? We have no actual number of units sold nor any comparison to how well they did when put against PS4/XBO sales. It definitely doesn't have Nintendo ”leading the pack of third party game sales."

I am surprised to see either game in the top ten, and now I wonder why we don’t get Madden or NHL.

Because "EA Sports, it's in the game, but ain't on the Switch"
