About 50% in, and so far it’s very fun and addictive. Just like SOTN was.

PSA: Just to mention something to anyone thinking about a ps4 purchase, this is the buggiest game I'vr played all year and I've played both Metro Exodus and Days gone. I just had to do my 7th restart because of issues, the latest being stuck on a bit of terrain and ptior to that 15 minutes aerlier a restart because all item drops were non interactive. There is zero performance issues though and it runs very smoothly but man is it glitch heavy and not in a good way. I only had to resart Days gone once and Metro Exodusless than a handful of timesonly falling mostly for performance issues but I have to say, this game is good enough to rise above save loss inducing glitches and that's a feat. Just something for people to be aware of, save at every oppertunity and after gaining new shards even if it means backtracking. Probably a good idea for the latter anyway even if they patch out bugs.

3rd crash within 45 minites. Wow. That one really sucked cause I lost 3 really nice looking shards and particularly a grwat sword passibe buff.

It's a good Metroidvania game very much like SoTN and the Castlevania games in that style. I like CTR a lot but given the choice I'd choose Bloodstained. There were a few glitches at launch but a good number of them were patched within 24 hours, at least on PS4.

If you've played SoTN and the original CTR, then whichever of those you prefer is probably a good indication of which "remake" you prefer.

Got 6 something hours on the in game ticker, I'd assume an hour of that is AFK time, while I only have 19% Map completion and 10% quest completion. This is a much bigger undertaking than I expected, not sure how I feel about that. I assumed for some reason or another than it was in the 12 - 20 hour range, coulda sworn some of the reviewers stated it along those lines, maybe the devs gave them a guide or some shit. I'm having fun but doubt I'll finish it without looking up the map.

I think I have about 9 hours in (2 of which are AFK time), with a map completion of close to 50% now. I can't recall my quest completion.  At this pace, I'll definitely hit the 12-20 hour average.

Yeah, I heard 8-12 hours.
That's a lie.

I'm 22 hours in, and have only seen 80% of the map so far.
To be clear, I haven't reached the final boss yet. Although I'm starting to get there. I feel like there's no way someone could beat this in 8-12 hours on their first playthrough. It should be higher than my current playtime for most people, I imagine.

The game is really fun. There's no moment when I'm not enjoying it. Even walking through the 'loading corridors', I'm doing divekicks to speed up my movement while thinking of something else to do in the game. There are so many different weapons and skills and combinations and things to craft that I always feel like I have something to do, and am always making some progress when I play.

Did the game actually crash? And when you said "restart the game", you mean reloading your save file? I ask because there is a glitch that forces some people to actually restart the game from the beginning, so it's important to make the distinction.

I've had to reload my save file once, because I ended up not being able to jump out of the water at one point. Luckily I saved just before that, just in case something happened. I didn't expect it to be a glitch though.
I've seen item drops I couldn't pick up plenty of times though, but nothing important.

A boss also knocked me down to a lower part of the tower, so I could sneak up behind him and kill him that way. It was pretty weird, and in hindsight I wonder what would have happened if I had grabbed the key item in the chest further below without killing the boss?

I think I read 8-12 hours for the "bad" ending, and then another half a dozen hours for the good ending. I'm not up that far though, so I don't know how accurate that is.

So it is like SOTN? because I don't like classis castlevania but love SOTN.

Not a chance unless they were using a guide, I've 8 hours on the ticker and 27% map completion and still running into dead ends. I'd assume you'd have to get extremely lucky to do this at 15 hours or less. I just started with a look at a completed map and it's not much of a help cause I'm still running into dead ends plus at some point farming is inevitable if you want good gear and stats/shards.

Whqt I mean is resetting the game from the ps4 menu or reloading the save but fuck that glitch, fingers crossed it foesn't happen but Yes, I've counted 5 hard crashes now on PS4 and 7 or 8 other glitches which have made me reset the game but pretty few other glitches bar those apart for some serious performance issues when the camera zooms out or rotates in certain sections, some glitches have been less game breaking than others like I could have continued not being able to pick items up but I rathered the reset.

Probably lost a good hour if not more of time now that I think about it plus some really good shard drops that i have since regained. RNG seems to be pretty tight just after saves.

Yes, it's like that. Trailers even showed that the location can be flipped upside down.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
