Arma3, Total War Series.

Thats pretty much it. Unfortunate what happened to the PC as a gaming platform. It has become a console substitute.

There are entire genre's of games that are missing on console, so how can it be a console substitute?

I guess that if you don't care about the 3 platform holders exclusives (very small subset of games anyway) then PC is a very competent console substitute. It have exclusive genres, better perfomance, mods and all.

IMO the best PC exclusives are RTS and 4X games. New good RTS/4X games don't get released all the time these days, but at least it's more good/interesting exclusives than XB1 has.

That same argument can be applied to any platform though.

That is... If you don't like a platforms exclusives, but prefer the exclusives on another platform, then it makes sense to go with that other platform.
Doesn't matter if it's a Switch, 3DS, Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, Android, iOS, SNES Classic etc' - That argument is appliable to all.

Thus there is no "best platform" there is only the best platform for your own personal tastes... That doesn't mean a platform cant have a technical advantage over another platform on a technical level as added-value incentives.

Total War. There is no CPU that can run it with 60fps when you zoom in.

I agree, but the platform with most games, better performance and most relevant exclusive genres would be PC even if I do prefer to keep on PS because of the exclusives.

Considering that Star Citizen is the most crowdfunded game in history, I think it's safe to say that it has plenty of buzz.

Vgchartz is more popular with console gamers because it was about tracking hardware and software sales. We do have dedicated PC fans but the site was created to track console and software sales.

I see , Vgchartz does cater to alot of console owners though, other forums and i guess 90 % on gaming community on youtube talk about Xbox one, PS4, and Switch games , though, it is how it is i guess? Thanx ^^ .

PC Gamers don't talk about platform, they talk only about games. You find the PC gamers on Youtube if you look for games.

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

my greatest games: 2017, 2018

Predictions: Switch / Switch vs. XB1 in the US / Three Houses first quarter

"IS there an exclusive AAA PC game that uses max power made from the ground up" No, no game is built from the ground up to take full advantage of the highest possible tier of gaming PC. Most developers don't want to limit their audience to just PC and no developers want to limit their audience to people with an i9 and two RTX 2080 TI's in SLI.

That's not to say the games can't take advantage of that power, really high resolution and hz etc, but they're not built specifically for that power from the ground up.

PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, PC: i5-4670k, RX470.

Due to minimum effort for gain, when devs target a much lower configuration what they put for the higher tier are cosmetic stuff.

AAA PC games of multiplatform games benefit from better resolution, higher performance and sometimes even additional high quality texture packs. Add to that the freedom and versatility of the platform, using the peripheral you want, mods and more there is really no need to "entice" people to buy a PC just because some games look slightly prettier. That's not even mentioning the proprietary graphics technologies that can be used in games, like proper RT, AA and additional physics.

Even the prettiest and well optimized game on console will be massively hurt by garbage performance and the extreme restrictiveness of the platform it's on. The latter two are the main reason to prefer to play games on PC.

To a degree I guess, because there are also crappy ports, powerwise,  for example XBX1 is holding on surprisingly good. Sony's AAA games are top notch graphically, despite the PS4 being old thrashy HW. The Last of Us Part 2 will be a new step in technology of gaming, everybody understand this.

Ray Tracing is supported just by a few games, so its not a factor so far. As always, new tech become a thing when consoles adhere to it.

Platfrom restrictivess? Steam is not any better for devs/customer than console manufacters ( this is a huge letdown if we compare how it was in the past ), we have things that are limited to only one producer, biased optimalisation than favors unfairly, mostly the more expensive GPUS and the list go on.

Star Citizen has a lot of trouble, perhaps next gens will arrive earlier.

The only good things that happens for PC as a gaming platform is the huge batch of console games, thanks to AMD unificiation, and MS is one of the biggest publisher on the market now. The rest is the silence.
