Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why does E.A have issue with Nintendo still

All the Nintendo fans I know hate EA and refuse to buy their games. They're probably upset their tactics don't work, and the whole reason they don't work is because they didn't support Nintendo much for a long time. So, when they do try to publish, people unused to their nonsense are instantly put-off. The other consoles they got to boil the frog and slowly escalate, making it less obvious.

Many users don't give a shit about these "DUR DUR AAA GAMES DUR DUR".

Nintendo fans like

-- "we don't care bout AAA games, we got our high quality jap stuff, ps stuff can kiss my ***"

then Doom, Wolfenstein, Witcher 3 comes out for nintendo

-- "yeah look look Nintendo has AAA games look look gonna pre-order"

Oh, another kid not understanding the difference between "we don't care about AAA games" and "we don't want any AAA game on our system".

That still is at least one top brass guy since then, so why is the mood still there?

What games would you have EA bring to Switch?

None because all EA games are trash. AMIRITE?!

Seriously though, there's nothing that EA publishes that I would buy on my Switch. Maybe most people think the same thing?

Because Nintendo does't do Loot Boxes Surprise Mechanics!

Yeah, for those who didn't heard it, EA just rebranded their Loot boxes as Surprise Mechanics. So Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order certainly won't have Loot boxes - will it have Surprise Mechanics, though?

EA market strategy- design game and put most interesting characters/ make game easier behind paywall of "surprise mechanics".  Unlock achievement: EA whore once user throws down 200 plus in gambling for loot.

Hope they lose their case and I'm not happy Nintendo has gone to shady loot boxes for their mobile games.  I don't play mobile games so I don't care much but still.  Hope these companies get banned from loot boxes from all countries.

The less EA games on Nintendo consoles the less unsatisfied and ripped off consumers,it's not such a bad thing.

You are worried about mobile loot boxes now when nintendo locked contemt behind amiibo purchases back on the wiiu?

Ammibo are actually far more akin to 'LOL Surprise' and Kindereggs than digital content. Also most if not a vast majority of Amiibo content are costume DLC, hardly levels or such, and you don't plop them down to get super weapons for Splatoon

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Ha... I actually like the damn amiibos just sitting there on my shelves.  I don't give a fuck about what they unlock or do.  I tried a few out in Smash and they made the lvling too damn quick and it was pointless after a few hours once they lvled all the way up.  So to answer your question.  I bought them to look at not to unlock shit in game.

It amazes me how many people think how unimportant real, signifcant third party support from companies like EA is for long-term success of a console's life.

Yes I know, "Fuck EA, they're cancer, worst company in America"... EA brings in $5 billion a year. That's an enormous consumer base. Their games matter to the gaming community whether you like it or not.

There are millions of people out there that won't consider a console that doesn't have games like Call of Duty, Madden, Grand Theft Auto, and Assassin's Creed. How many Switches could Nintendo sell if they had these franchises on their platform?

Let's see the DS had half assed CoD and GTA that barely sold.  GTA on DS sold semi decent but wasn't gang busters.  How many sales did the DS pull without most of those franchises or half ass versions?  Believe it ended up being 2nd highest system sold.
