Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bleeding edge gameplay actually looks fun.

The graphics look like sunset overdrive and the melee combat looks smooth and diverse. It seems people who have played it really enjoyed the game so far. I do not understand the hate the game is getting.

Hm.. I liked the melee only aspect, but I'm not seeing the "fun" in this footage, maybe because nobody playing it has a clue how to "play well".

looks like its melee only.... but it looked slow... only watched half the video.
I like the characters, the combat didnt do anything for me though, I wouldnt say it looked fun.

However I know playing something is alot differnt than just watching, so maybe it plays better than it looks.

It might just have to do with the genre. I can tell you that I tuned out when I saw it was a squad-based multiplayer game. I just don’t derive as much satisfaction from those games as I do from a rewarding single-player experience like the one in, say, Sunset Overdrive.

Too many multiplayer focused games today.
Battle Royal takeing off, is gonna usher in a era where we re drowned in them.

I was not aware of the existence of this game, and reading the threat title I was "well of course bleeding edge gameplay is fun, you dingus." Everybody likes new crap.

But yeah no, game looks fun. Let's see how it competed with Overwatch.

Was doing any content in vanilla before the levelcap fun?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Was hoping for something along the lines of a stellar SP or even a co-op based game from Ninja, considering they hit a nice home run with Hellblade.

It's not really doing it for me, so I'm going to be sitting on the bench for likely another 5 ish years until NT decide to same another Sp game. Assuming they will actually go back to making one, because studios that tend to make a few MP based games, hardly ever go back to making SP titles. Especially if they hit a "home run" with MP based games (looking at you Epic and your shitty BR clone).

Don't worry, Ninja Theory has multiple teams and according to leaks and rumors their next game after Bleeding Edge will be a singleplayer game from the Hellblade team.

Multiple teams?.

SO who's the original?, because I've sen EA do this with Bioware, because they made a version of Bioware, that wasn't ME Bioware, but some deformed team, that was merged with Victory studios to become Bioware Victory, which was then liquidated when they cancelled C&C Generals 2.

Who is the team that's working on this MP only based game?, not Ninja Theory?. I don't like this "We just made up a new team within our team, but they clearly never were with us from the start or what made us special, but you gotta see them as though we were us" kind of gig.

I think Pubs need to stop using a Team's name, and just start calling different teams different names.

It is not uncommon to have a studio with multiple projects they were working on this while also working on Hellblade. Obsidian also mentioned they are working on more projects.
