When I saw "Guerilla Games" my brain just thought Killzone and that series kinda sucks. But then I was reminded about Horizon and it somehow became a little more sad.

The birthday is correct. He was 44. I was going to make a thread about this yesterday, but gave up due to technical troubles. I have no idea why it's 46 in the op since it's a copy/paste of the first paragraph in the link, where the correct age is given.
Sad news. I only just began playing Horizon mere days ago, and am absolutely loving it. A kind of haunting piece of music from the game played in my head after I read this news yesterday.

That was one of my first thoughts as well, and I felt guilty. :/
OT: What a freaking shame. I assumed heart attack, but he appears to be fit in that picture; plus, GG is not an American company, so that much less likely to be heart attack unless he has bad family history. My guess is accident or cancer, but you’d think we would’ve heard about him having cancer previously.

Suicide is a possibility as well, and there are other medical emergencies beyond heart attacks that can cause sudden death.
