Seriously. I hate Garchomp, think it's one of the worst Pokemon along with the Ultra Beasts, but do I think they should be removed? No! There are plenty of people that love them as much as I do Quagsire and Whiscash, why should their joy be removed? Not everybody likes Charizard and Pikachu, it's a kick in the guts to those whose favourites are being cut, no matter which or how many make the cut.

Yeah, Garchomp is way overrated. Weird design to say the least.

That said, while I mostly agree with your point, I personally do wish some Pokémon were removed. Not the biggest fan of national dex entries #793 through #806, you bet I wouldn't be the one moaning if those were never to be seen again.

Decisions like this are why I play other games instead of the latest Pokemon games. Pokemon Moon was in some ways a step forward and some other ways a step back. Pokemon should be selling 25+ million easy but they always seemed to butcher every game in some way shape or form. With the exception of generation 5, I don't think Pokemon has really lived up to its potential since Gold and Silver.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems!

eh, I don't mind too much. To be honest them trying to cram too many previous gen Pokemon into new games has always annoyed me. I'd much rather have just a few Pokemon from previous gens with the main focus being new Pokemon. Or be like gen 5 where it's new Pokemon only (albeit ideally even more new pokemon than they had then), I loved that!

Not being able to transfer them at all rather than just not being able to catch them is a bit stupid. But oh well.

That was almost universally hated by Pokémon fans though. I know I hated it. It’s the main reason why I skipped Black/White and played Black 2 instead.

On reflecfion, this will be a fascinating issue to see how it impacts sales and reception. Because right now they are emphasizing the number of Pokemon actually in the game fully - that is, there to be caught and battled - is planned to be quite high. And by extension, the Regional Dex quite extensive. This could lead to a very bizarre situation where the game is regarded as being very content rich and complete and all that by one large group of players while another smaller albeit still large and definitely vocal group feels it is lacking in essential content. I'll probably be in the former camp as I have never been interested in transferring Pokemon. But there will be plenty in the latter.

Them trying to appeal to Pokemon fans is what gets the same boring old gen 1 Pokemon shoved down our throat at every opportunity though...

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Odds are they're just gonna code them all in by the third version/remake when they have more time. Even if it takes them till 9th gen, I can't see this being permanent moving forward. It's just a position of circumstances.

Anyway this would only affect post game wifi battles to me.

On the bright side the Smogon Meta post Sword/Shield should be interesting. No more overused Legendaries like Landorus or Heatran. No more megas with borderline gamebreaking effects. And hopefully no more Rotom. Rotom is flat out busted and on almost every damned team. I'll be happy as hell if he doens't make it in.

That's the only good thing to come out of this. I hate Landorus T so much, thank god we wont have to see his ugly ass face anymore.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I mean, I get this point, but... it's not very hard to balance these things, you know. Like 2 minutes of messing around with the code to make this or that Pokémon a little weaker. That'd be the right solution. What they're doing is the lazy one.

Gonna join you on this one, although I completly sympathize with guys who are affected by this but yet it's the way they've decided to go and I'll respect it too even though some others might disagree.

I mean, especially since I'm only a casual player who plays for fun and just want to complete the adventure and catch the Pokémons that interest me ... and that's pretty much it, I've never lived or breath the Pokémon life some of you are claiming too.

Actually, I think with the ever growing roster now beyond 800 Pokémon, it is insane to see people spend so much time just for the sole purpose of catching them all when I'm pretty sure most of it will become stale at some point. I already thought that having a few hundreds was insane already but now ...

But yeah, an issue that will be manly vocalised by hardcore part of the Poké community which I never enjoyed to be honest ...
