Tifa looks so beautiful. The combat system looks super fun and I really like the idea of the tactical mode, nice that the environment plays a role during battle. Let's hope that the difficulty is not that easy (difficulty settings would be great) and that the enemies aren't huge HP sinks because that would make battles drag on for too long.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but....

FFVII has the potential to become the greatest video game of all-time all over again for me. Just like it was back in 1997 until FFVIII came out.
I mean, the nostalgia is SO REAL with this one. I think I might seriously flip out when I first start playing this.
Everything looks totally 1:1 identical with the original one. I saw shots of Aerith's house and BOOM instantly recognized it. They're nailing it to a tea. Seems Square is actually trying really hard to make this a masterpiece, because that's exactly the kind of vibes I'm getting from the E3 presentation. This game feels larger than life. Can't even imagine what the world map is going to look like, ohhhh geez...the hype is just too much this time. I really gotta go out of the way in order to try and stop thinking about this game....

Potentially gonna create an earthquake when it arrives!

"The Path of Excess leads to the tower of Wisdom."

I hope we have more cool banter and exchanges like these during battles and stuff.

Ah, Tifa, at long last. But what is this? What have they done to her most formidable attributes? I was so excited about next generation jiggle physics. : (

Hunting Season is nigh...

I just realized it seems we won't have this in the remake...

Don't be too sure about that, they (SE) must still have a lot of cards up their sleeve. The hype needs to be turned up beyond the '11' they already reached yesterday.

I am so hyped right now, the conference was great. It looks like they will succeed in giving the story it's emotional charge through dialogues and cutscenes. Deepening out the chacracters of Avalanche and building up to an awesome ending of part 1. There may even be tears involved...

Are they finally doing it right...???

That is why I said "it seems" because they still could have it in the game. But we indeed got no victory fanfare in those trailers, so we can consider the possibility there won't be any.

Is that Honey Bee Inn image real? Please tell me it's real.

I still have massive reservations for obvious reasons but if they keep to the comedy of FF7, then they'll have restored some of them. There is so much comedy in FF7 that I fear we'd lose because of modern serious SquEnix.

I really miss FF games. When is 16 coming? Sorry, I mean when is 16 coming where it has ATB and not some button mashing bullcrap?

FF12 lacked it for the most part too, as that was an open exploration/battle as well. They did however add it at the end of larger bosses or summon kills so I can see them adding it for bosses in this at least.

Hmm, pie.

After bosses like FF12, perhaps?

The ONE thing I'm sure isn't going to make it is Red XIII passing as a Shinra soldier. Which was bad to me even as a young teen.

The art and visuals are beautiful. Tifa looks perfect, her best in-game model to date imo. Combat system seems fairly promising but I'm not sure if it's gonna be executed well enough.

Voice acting is embarrassing as expected, sounds nothing like those cool Final Fantasy XIV expansion trailers. Japanese voices would be just as annoying in-battle, so I hope Square give us the option to specifically silence them during combat, as well as the option to use the original soundtracks. One of the things that made old school Final Fantasy games more fun than the sum of their parts, is how the defined/clear music synchronized with your dancing fingers (it was especially engaging when you're doing a handicap run that forces you to be tactical and versatile, as opposed to grindy runs that leave you mashing the same attack.). That rhythmic effect is completely gone with the flowing/unclear orchestral score, and I've grown allergic to characters throwing smart remarks and making exaggerated noises with every goddamn attack. I can't wait to shut them the hell up!!

As far as fast-paced reflex-based action, GOTG contender Sekiro spoiled me badly :(
