Forums - Nintendo Discussion - We live in a world where Nintendo gets better support from Microsoft than EA

People need to stop and think before bashing on EA (I know it's fun guys, and in most cases they deserve it) Porting EA's biggest franchises into a Switch would require much more resources and money than porting a game like Minecraft, that can run on a toaster.

Companies like Bethesda and Netherrealm are supporting the Switch. It wouldn't take that much effort to at least get Madden on the system.

EA just flat out blows dead rats. I wish the NFL and FIFA would open up their licensing to other publishers and allow competition from companies like 2K and Konami. That's the reason why EA gets away with all of its BS.

Yeah, they deserve the bashing

^ I wonder what EA will say when Fifa20 on Switch inevitably bombs while the previous two did good. I bet they won’t have a clue why that happened and blame it on Nintendo fans not buying 3rd party games.

What's this obsession of Nintendo fans with EA? Last time I checked they were the worst thing that ever happened to gaming and Nintendo fans look at it and say: "Damn, I wish worst thing that ever happened to gaming senpai would notice me".

A new game is unlikely to be announced. A character for Smash or the confirmation of a port (such as the first Ori game) are more probable options, especially the latter.

I'm thinking there's more to it than that. Miyamoto was reportedly going to show up at the Microsoft conference, but there were flight issues and that's why it was shorter than planned. I highly doubt he would go through the trouble of showing up if it were were a port.

Some people thought it would be the other way round. Nintendo getting mentioned at Xbox Conference. But it seems like it will be the other way round....

I gave up waiting for Sims 4 on the switch.

Oh is this real? I was watching Easy Allies and they were sort of surprised how quickly the Xbox Briefing ended.

Yes because it was reported the conference was 2 hours and 20 minutes long while we got only 90 minutes.

EA is a big publisher with a lot of franchises. EA did FIFA (and this time only a roster upgrade), Fe and Unravel - and that's it. Sure, the new Star Wars game is probably not going to be ported over. But The Sims? More small games under their umbrella (that's what Fe and Unravel are) like Sea of Solitude? A Way Out? Some of their mobile stuff (you know like Bethesda bringing ES Blades, Fallout Shelter and ES Legends to Switch)? Other sport games besides FIFA like Madden? Need for Speed (which was on WiiU)? Aport of an older game like Dragon Age or Mass Effect?

Nothing of that would be hard to port.
