Chromecast, controller and 3 months premium

Basicly the 3 months are free when taking in account the price of the chromecast en controller

I can see this working very well for the holiday season

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Probably, but the 60's and 70's called. They want their thin client, terminal based computing back.

So minimum buy in is £60 since you need a controller.

If you want the best graphics then it's £10 a month.

It's worth getting the founders edition since it doesn't say you'll have to subscribe for a year, meaning you can get it for 3 months, pay £30 and get the controller and 3 months off gaming on destiny 2.

This will heavily depend on the cost of games on the store. MS and Sony have really good sales, trading games is still a thing and finally, the option to stream our download is important.

I can't see people who play on Xbox or PS needing this since they usually want the latest and greatest console graphics. For £120 a year, you're better off with Gold or PS+ at a quarter of the cost for the year. You still get your 2 games a month along with discounted game offers.

That £90 extra a year is pretty much the cost of a console in 3 years without the option to borrow games, trade games or play games during Internet outages.

Except I run a cloud myself and my clients very much like it over the burden of their own hardware.

Well, the clients that pay for the service like it, not necessarily the users.

So the dongle or chromecast is required for TV have a way to hook up ethernet? If everything is wifi that could hinder because I only get like 15 to 40 wifi speed but can get near 1 gb with ethernet. Modem is apparently semi shitty for wifi speeds. Not interested in it but was wondering since wifi is slower than ethernet.

Might buy this, try it and sell the controller.

Could be a cheap way to get the 4K Chromecast ^^

There is an adapter for that.

Ah that would have been nice of them to include in founder's edition.  Because first impressions are important.  Kind of like Smash online.  I'm pretty sure it is still laggy as ever but heard maybe some improvement with Ultimate.  I still hear complaints about it.  I tried with Brawl and Smash 3DS and they were both terrible even with 20 to 30 mbps wifi.  It's reason why creator pleaded people if they wanted to play online they should use ethernet adaptor for Ultimate. Even using that I'm sure it still sucks because you got some jackass with low speed internet lagging everyone else in the game because it is p2p.

You'd need to be using wifi-n and 5GHz band to get the bandwidth necessary and that has a limited range.

I tested my laptop in the wifi-n 2.4GHz next to my TV where the Chromecast would be and I get 40Mbps,
should be set for the 1080p60 my TV can display.

The prices are ridiculous for a cloud based product. Three months """""free""""" is not going to change that.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

$9.99 per month for 4K 60 fps streaming is too much?

Won't you have to buy the future new games for the original price? While also having to pay a monthly fee to keep access to said games?
