On the linked resetera thread people were able to pre order it on xbox one but the site has updated removing this option. The announcement is probably saved for MS E3.

I hope they get a good deal for it. If this happens, likely Sony won't be giving the game the marketing push they were promising.

Well I got a PS4 but if it gets released on the X1 the same time as on the PS4 I get it on the X1 instead since I already have 1 and 2 on the X1 also and I like achievements better then trophies especially since I have way more achievements then trophies.

I have the original on the dreamcast so if it comes to XBO I might buy it.

In theory, Shenmue could have made even more money had multiplat been the original goal. Frankly, I was surprised Shenmue 1 and 2 came to Xbox. I assume it was because Sega felt there were fans there.

Sony also benefitted from the fan service praise, lets not ignore these things can be self serving.

This was always a possibility and I think the kickstarter mentioned it, PS4 and PC first but Xbox One will probably get the game a little later (unless the delay is to launch on Xbox at the same time) anyway I backed for PS4 and I'm happy that more people could get the chance to play. Shenmue 3 probably won't be a huge hit and it'll need extra sales where it can get them i.e. Xbox owners, if Yu Suzuki is ever going to finish the story.

I have the original on Dreamcast also and I got the second game on the original X Box.  I still need to finish and get all the achievements for Shenmue 2 I'm very close to the end and then I need to replay the beginning again since missed one of the miss able achievements.

Well they ported over Shenmue 2 from the original X Box version since I has the same bonus features as that version that weren't in the Dreamcast version of the game (the ability to take photos and unlock comic book pages).
