Forums - Gaming Discussion - E3 is less than a week away! What are your expectations?

The only thing I want is some weird and completely unexpected new game announcement. Like Suikoden 6, Chrono Trigger remastered or Mischief Makers 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Well that's also because Sony has an deal with Call of Duty 'get dlc 7 days early on PS4' and I honestly don't like COD/Battlefield at E3 conferences we know they are coming I rather see other reveals.

I just love to watch Directs/E3 etc with Easy Allies even bad conferences are fun to watch with them and the community :).

The trailer on the official COD YT channel has 26 million views without any mention of PS content.

I know but COD would have been at E3 at sony conference and that's the only reason why they dropped the trailer like this. No deal with Sony it probably would have been at MS E3 conference.

My expectations are always pretty low, but even more so this year. Not just because there's no Sony, which means no PlayStation conference, but it'll also have had a knock-on effect on MS (and even to a lesser extent Nintendo). Since they knew well in advance there wouldn't be any E3 competition from Sony they won't have been under pressure to make as big announcements as they might otherwise have done, especially Microsoft.

On top of that we're at the fag end of a generation, so all internal focus at MS, Sony, and their big third party backers will be on the currently-unrevealed new consoles anyway. So unless they were going to reveal them at E3 - which they won't - then it was always going to be a pretty quiet E3 from both of them.

Hm.. with Phil announcing 14 MS studios titles at their conference (usually includes 2nd party, might also include things like DLC/big updates for Crackdown 3/Sea of Thieves) I think there is a good likelihood MS already starts showing off some next gen stuff. That said most of the stuff will ofcourse be cross gen, but I wouldn't be surprised if those ran at 720p30 on 1S.

Not that high, to be honest. Most of the games I wanted have been announced and/or released already, and with Atlus being somewhat of a ____ about Persona 5 on the Switch, I'm honestly just waiting to see what the unnannounced stuff is.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

No sorry, that isn't true.

All CoDs from Sony marketing (BO3, IW, WW2, BO4) have all had their teasers, reveals, and even gameplay all before E3 (Apr - May periods). MW being announced before E3 is just following that trend.

Alright then =p.

1. Nintendo is going to, by far, be the most interesting presentation of E3. They will definitely impress.

2. Of all the other presentations, Square-Enix will be next. They have more notable games this time around than they normally do.

3. Microsoft's presentation will also be memorable. Not sure if it will be memorable in a "good", "bad" or simply "weird" way, but they've got something interesting up their sleeve, and so their presentation will definitely be memorable.

Probably one of the best E3's I am looking forward to.
Gameplay footage of Halo Infinite and seeing what Rare has in the works plus Nintendo with Luigi's Mansion and Metroid announcements and fingers crossed, a F-Zero announcement.

Games I am looking forward to seeing more and playing this year is..

Ori Will of the Wisp, first game is a masterpiece and one of the best art styles to exist in a game.

Battletoads.. freaken Battletoads man, doesn't have to be critically acclaimed, this will be a fun nostalgia trip and just fun to check out.

Gears 5, I had a blast with 4 and the story is becoming more and more interesting plus the visuals look amazing.

As for the show, interested in seeing more of The Outer Worlds and seeing what the full 14 1st party IPs MS have housed away and what the brand plans to do with hardware announcements or buying any more studios. Nintendo will have some surprises as well and my dream game that could be announced at the PC event.. something that ends in 3 and it starts with H...…… You GUESSED IT!!! HOMEWORLD 3... Only in my dreams :(

M$ can only show teasers for their new IPs since they bought the studios last year.
so nothing mind blowing.

so 2 teasers of new IP (Ninja theory, Obsidian)
3)Next halo
4)Halo PC
5)Forza whatever
6)Forza other whatever.
7)Gears 5
8)next Fable
9)next Banjo
10) KI 2
11) Perfect Dark maybe?
12)Something Mobile
13)Fable Collection X enhanced
14)Banjo Collection X enhanced or remake.

the video on the PS channel, says play new content always first on Playstation.

Nothing really all that exciting for me this E3.

I'm opting out of watching PC's E3, primarily due to it being hosted by Epic, so the majority that are shown there will be EGS and thus dead to me.

MS's peaks my interest a smidge, mostly for PC announcements, and a possible talk about a complete revamp of their Windows 10 store and further Steam release announcements.

SE, not really all that interested since they don't really make many games that appeal to me. They might be able to bring something up, maybe more talks on Dying Light 2 and prove that it will release on Steam, and not be made EGS (because atm, the DL2 devs are outright ignoring EGS exclusivity questions, which gives me cause for concern).

Not really interested in Beth's show, because it's going to be a rehash of last year's.

Absolutely not interested in Ubisoft's, mostly due to their new partnership with Epic, and they've done zilch to vastly improve their web based client and removal of DRM levels from their games, as well as putting insane focus on Games as a service.

I'm interested in Nintendo's E3, but only for Zelda and Animal Crossing.
