Forums - Sony Discussion - Yakuza Developer: "PS5 Has The Best Graphics Ever"

During the latest Sega-Nama broadcast, Toshihiro Nagoshi stated that the PlayStation 5 processing power is incredible, and the team is already thinking about how to use it to improve on the series gameplay. To put it simply, The PS5 will be an absolute beast!

Here are the main details regarding PS5

PlayStation 5

  • Even after PlayStation 5 is released, I think PlayStation 4 is going to be the main focus for a while longer.
  • The processing power of PlayStation 5 is incredible, so when we try to think of new gameplay that will utilize its full potential, I’m not really sure which aspects of existing mechanics we should translate.
  • First there was a time when graphics improved, then there was network features, and now I guess you can say its a return to the “programmable” era? I think artificial intelligence and machine learning will continue to evolve.
  • If you would pour its power into graphics it’ll be the best that we’ve yet to see, and I think everyone is thinking about in what way we should use that power. I as well. There’s artificial intelligence and many other things I want to think about.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Obviously, would be strange if a new generation would have worse graphics wouldn’t it.

Well makes sense, otherwise why release a new console lol.

Wow. A next generation console has more power than anything that came before it? That's amazing!

When the wii, wii u and switch. came out i wasnt really impressed at all with the power.

But they were better than the Nintendo consoles before them. PS5 is obviously stronger than PS4 PRO (and XBO X)

I doubt the wii was more powerful than the gamecube. But why cant they be the best? So only PlayStation and xbox can have best graphics? Anyways the guy was probably saying ps5 is more powerful than the next xbox so whats wrong with him saying that?

He is telling you ps5 is much more powerful than the ps4. When the wii, wii u and switch came out nobody was saying this kind of stuff because they were all a little more powerful than their predecessor

Can't wait to see it in action. Maybe Sony will demonstrate some at AMD's E3 show.

Yes that is true, but Nintendo hasn't been in the power race for generations.

It is expected of the PS and XBOX as that is their selling point
